Self-Made: Is Anyone Self-Made?

While one may have only heard the term 'self-made' recently, that doesn't mean it is something that has been created within the past few years. It is a term that has been around for many, many years and the word 'man' is often added at the end.
In today's world, it not just something a man can use to describe himself, it is also something a woman can use. What this comes down to is that women are more empowered than they were in the past and there are more opportunities for them to fulfil their needs.

In The Shadows
They no longer need to stay in the shadows and to watch men achieve what they want to achieve. This is not to say that every country in the world is the same; as there are some countries that are still stuck in the past.
However, there is a clear difference in the west when it comes to how women were treated in the past and how they are treated now. This doesn't mean women are always treated as they want to be treated, but then again, neither are men.

Success
If one was to think about people who are successful, there is a strong chance that they won't just think about men. Whether one was to think about the people they know or the people they see in the public eye, they are likely to think about people from each gender.
What one person classes as success is not necessarily the same as another, but this is not going to mean that a certain type of success is only experienced by one gender. It won't matter what one classes as success; as there will be people out there from both genders who match up with their definition.

In The Beginning
When it comes to what someone has achieved, they may have come from nothing or they may have started off with a silver spoon in their mouth. If one started off with a silver spoon in their mouth, it is not going to be possible for them to say they are self-made.
To say such a thing would show they are not only lying to others, they are also lying to themselves. From the very beginning, the support they needed was with them and they didn't need to struggle by themselves.

Support
This doesn't mean that one didn't have to do anything and that everything was done for them, but it would have made their life easier. One wouldn't have had to look outside of their family for money or resources, as this would have been provided.
But even if one wasn't born with a silver spoon in their mouth, it doesn't mean they had to do it all by themselves. If the financial support wasn't there, it could have meant that one was supported in others ways.

Guidance
In the beginning of their life, they may have been given the guidance that they needed in order to learn a certain skill. Through being mentored by a member of their family, one would have been able to develop the ability to do something.
If they were unable to show one what they wanted to learn, they may have taken them to someone who could show them. This would have allowed one to gradually develop themselves.

Self-Made
When it comes to someone who classes themselves as self-made, they are likely to say that their life didn't start out this way. There wouldn't have been any financial support and neither would there have been any kind of guidance.
As these two factors were missing, one would have been the one who pushed themselves forward. It may have taken a while for them to get to where they wanted to be and this could be because the beginning of their life was a time where they lacked a sense of purpose.

Proud
So whether one had to wait until they were older or took their life into their own hands at a young age, they are likely to feel a sense of pride. They might reflect on the fact that not only have they achieved something; they have also done it without needing anyone else.
Now, the people around them may validate this outlook or they may find it hard to believe how they have done everything by themselves. It is clear that one had to take the initiative, as what they needed wasn't handed to them on plate, but at the same time, this doesn't mean they were not assisted in other ways.

Assistance
It wouldn't have been possible for them to sit around and for everything to fall into their lap, but if it wasn't for the people who have assisted them along the way, they wouldn't be the person they are today. One is an interdependent human being and this means they need other people.
This assistance could have come about through reading books, having different mentors, speaking to people and taking courses, among others things. Each of these factors (along with many others) will have played a part in who one has become and what they have achieved.

Actors
When one watches a film, they can come to the conclusion that it is all about the actors. As these are the people who one sees on the big screen, this is to be expected. Yet, if it wasn't for everyone else who has played a part in the creation of the film, the actor's wouldn't be able to do what they do.
This shows it is not about one actor or a number of them; it is about a whole team of people. If an actor came out and said it is all about them and they are the ones who made the film what it is, they would end up being described as deluded.
The Illusion
However, when people come out and say that they are self-made in daily life, they are often believed. This allows them to maintain the illusion that they are where they are because of their efforts alone and not because of how other people have assisted them along the way

Always Invest In Yourself First

The best investment anyone can make, if not the only one that will directly make the most impact in your life, is to invest in yourself. This is a key to success if you want to achieve any type of goal in your life, business, career, or anything concerning your life. Too many people invest in so many other things but always forget to invest in themselves which support the premise that there are only a few who are truly content in their lives.
It is not too late to make a positive change in life since there are a few easy things you can do to invest in yourself today. One quick action step is go and get some exercise. Go for a brisk walk, take the stairs, or jog for lunch. You will feel better, increase your productivity and energy levels, and reduce stress. Another simple and worthwhile thing you can do is pick a more nutritious lunch rather than going for that greasy burger. Your body is your investment so put junk bonds in it and watch that investment tank or go for the highly rated nutritious foods and watch your investment flourish. In life, like your body, what you put in is what you get out.

Reading a book is a good investment but if you want to make it a better investment don't just read the book, you will be better off studying the book. Study one hour a day and in a few years you could be the top expert of the subject matter you're reading. One more thing is to learn something new each day because at the end of the year you would have learned 365 new things. No matter how little you might think doing something to improve yourself might be it will all add up in the big picture. A good analogy is to reference the principle of compound interest. Constant savings through time, no matter how small the amount, will increase over the years. Obviously, the more you are able to save or invest will yield even larger returns.

The key to success in anything is just start doing it now and keep doing it because it will develop into a good successful habit. Remember, it is never to late to start investing in yourself. The sooner you start and keep doing it will translate into amazing things happening for you.

Jim Rohn - the greatest Advice ever

Billionaire Mentality

Do you want to increase your wealth and improve your relationship with money? Are you willing to ALLOW a constant flow of prosperity into your life?
All it takes is a decision and belief. Simple, huh?!
Sure, you’ll have to let go of a great many negative beliefs that you currently hold on to for dear life.
Billionaires trust something that most people don’t … there will always be an abundance of money and resources. A never-ending supply. They believe that all of their needs will be met. That includes money, love, knowledge, space, energy, peace, fun and more.

All billionaires may not feel all of that. But that is true prosperity. That “knowing and trust” allow you to act more freely. You make decisions based on what you want, not what is possible. Billionaires know it’s all possible.
At any point so far have you thought …
I don’t need to be a billionaire.
I can’t imagine that. A millionaire is even beyond me!
How would I get there?
That sounds overwhelming.

Prosperity means trusting that you can have the desired outcome without having to give up anything (except that nasty gremlin who has you believing those limiting thoughts!). When abundance is your primary belief, you can have it all. You won’t be taking anything away from anyone else, either.
Recently, I went to a beautiful restaurant for dinner. The couple I was with kept making comments about the menu prices. It detracted from the beauty of the moment and anticipation of the meal. When you focus on price, you begin judging and justifying its worth.

If you’re in business for yourself, you’ll notice the same thing happens when you decide to increase your fee or your price list. If an expensive dinner freaks you out, don’t do it. But notice what beliefs are making that decision for you. If you’re focused on paying debt and cutting down on unnecessary expenses, this decision is aligned with your strategy. But strategy will only get you so far if you have lack lurking behind the scenes.
I’ve coached billionaires and millionaires, with no debt, and some are still plagued with the fear that someday their wealth will disappear. This has them making choices in their lives that aren’t truly making them happy. They stay in careers where they work 24/7.
This is not the way life is designed to be. You have the choice to go on the same way or uncover more of what’s limiting you. As you get smarter, the lack mentality is very subtle but has a huge impact on your life. The “Billionaire Mentality” is available to you right now!
Are You Truly Ready For Prosperity? Really? You’ll have bouts with fear, discomfort, and insecurity. You’ll control, push, worry and get spun up in your head about how to get what you want.
It takes practice, but it’s a worthy cause. And it can be quite fun!
Here are some small steps to get you started …
*Decide to focus on what you want, rather than on what you don’t have.
*Ask yourself when making decisions, “If money wasn’t an issue what would I do or how would I feel about this issue? If I knew my desire was possible what would I do next?”
*Surround yourself with people, books, audios and information that support you in this quest. This isn’t the average person’s way of thinking. Most people are hooked into struggle, limitation and “someday”.
*Start noticing who is making decisions for you. Is it your “gremlin” or is it the “billionaire” in you who trusts in your brilliance and unlimited resources?

Jim Rohn - Increasing your value

Your Destiny is Shaped by Your Confidence

How many times have you heard people say that to succeed in life you need to have confidence in your own ability? Nothing in life is difficult if you know how to believe in yourself in any situation. Most people have this misconception that confidence is something that is either there or not. It is a natural ability that can’t be inculcated but this is not true. Believing in yourself against all odds is an art.

Everything is controlled and perceived by the mind and if you can train your mind to feel confident, it will always remain like it. The most important thing that defines confidence in an individual is his/her self image. Self esteem plays a crucial role in determining the attitude of an individual towards a situation. It is generally observed that people, who consistently belittle themselves, tend to suffer from lack of confidence.

They are always pessimistic in their view point and are defensive in their approach. This is why it is imperative that people suffering from lack of confidence must take the necessary steps to build up their self esteem. An improved outlook towards life will always bring about opportunities that are rewarding and prosperous. People with high levels of confidence are always challenging themselves and are never bothered by any situation in their lives. The best is that they are not worried about what others are thinking of them and are always focussed on the task in hand. This is what high self esteem can bring you:
• You feel confident about yourself and are willing to try and test new things
• High confidence means high courage, you will never back away from situations that are testing or tough.
• You will become more aware about your personality and perceptions and will always be able to make better decisions both personally and professionally.
• You are always in control of your life; your decisions are not influenced by any external factors or influences.

High self esteem and confidence are virtues that can be enhanced in individuals at any age. The most easiest and effective way to build confidence and self esteem is self love. Nothing beats self love. No matter what your current circumstance is, you need to love yourself for who you are. If you have a good image of yourself in your own eyes, you will always be in control of your actions. You will trust your judgement and will always feel good about your life.
To love yourself, you first need to release all the negative notions or beliefs you may have about your personality. You need to start doing things you are uncomfortable with. You need to take more control of your life. The potential in a person is nothing without self esteem or confidence. Your talent needs the support of your confidence to shine on any platform. People are always bound to react in a defensive mode, when the chips are down, but how they emerge from that given situation depends entirely upon the level of their confidence. So be confident and live your life to the full.

4 Easy Ways to Change Your Paradigm

Dear friend, being aware of the ongoing changes in every aspect of our lives has become an important task for our survival and our continued well being.
We see companies and organizations collapse because they have not been able to change their ways of thinking and behaving. Individuals experience frustration when time is not spent anticipating changes and responding to the need for change.

We have seen more changes in the last decade than in the previous one hundred years. It is this rapid change that heightens our anxieties.
Change is infinite and we must always expect fluctuations when dealing with what we own. We must also expect changes in our loved ones, jobs and positions in life.
We evolve from child to parent, dependent to independent and sometimes back to dependent. It therefore would be in our best interest to flow with these moves and re-arrangements in life. This will require a paradigm shift.
The Paradigm Shift
A paradigm, in a general sense is the way we see the world – not in terms of our visual sight, but in terms of perceiving, understanding and interpreting.
If we want to make relatively minor changes in our lives, we can, perhaps, appropriately focus on our attitudes and behaviors. But, if we want to make significant change, we need to work on our basic paradigms.
There is always another way of looking at any situation or challenge that is presented to us. What you see is what you get.

Paradigms
A simple way to look at paradigms is to see them as maps. Each of us has many, many maps in our head which can be divided into two main categories. Maps of the way things are, and maps of the way things should be. We interpret everything we experience through these mental maps.
We seldom question their accuracy; we’re usually unaware that we have them. We simply assume that the way we see things is the way they really are or the way they should be. Our attitudes and behaviors grow out of these assumptions.
People all over the world seem to believe that other people see life the same way they do, or at least, they should. To try to change our attitudes and behaviors does very little good in the long run, if we fail to examine the basic paradigms from which those attitudes and behaviors flow.

Here are four ways which will help you through the change process:
1.Clearing clutter and chaos from around (recycling, donating, selling)
2.Getting in touch with who you are in a safe environment (sharing & expressing who you are right now)
3.Choose to do things that are outside your normal routine (be spontaneous, flexible, outrageous)
4.Reading outside your current frame of reference (educational programs, movies, seeing, thinking)

The more aware we are of our basic paradigms, maps or assumptions, and the extent to which we have been influenced by our experiences, the more we can take responsibility for those paradigms, examine them, listen to others and be open to their perceptions, thereby getting a larger picture and a far more objective view.

Until next time, make this a week one in which you are living your life to the fullest.

Learn To Embrace Yourself

Learn to do it... like your own company. It's really great to have others around but that's not always possible. And if it's not, then why be sad and miserable about it?
Step out... on your own. What do you like to do? Would you like to go to a movie or a museum? Would you like to learn to do something, say, for example, learning a second language?
Think about the things you like to do and then make a pact with yourself to do them. Want to see that movie? Then get up, get dressed and go. You certainly don't need anyone else to go with you... there's no talking allowed anyway.
Want to take a class? Then get online and just type in the kind of class you want and see what comes up... and then sign up!
Doing things by yourself helps build your confidence and feel better about yourself. And you never know who you might meet along the way- perhaps a new friend to enjoy doing new things with too!
The bottom line here is that things won't change for you until you change the way you think. Sitting in a chair and staring at the wall won't bring the movie to you or the class to you. But if you open the door and step out, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised at what could come your way.
Do it today. Get up, and try something different. Just try it. Take that first step. And after you do that, you'll find the rest of the "stepping" comes a lot easier!

Step Up the Pace

Time waits for no one. It is immutable and unstoppable. It is part of the fabric of life. It is a measure of consistency. Though we can't see it our lifespan is dictated by it. What we do with our time is of the utmost importance. Never take time for granted. Take the time to make sure you make your mark. When we rise up we put ourselves on another level. Never give up and never become complacent. When one door closes kick the next one open. Your efforts should magnify your desires. Every adversity, every failure, every heartache carries with it the seed of an equal or greater benefit. Failure is an ingredient for success depending on how you measure it. Everyone wants tomorrow right now and we can have it depending on what we do today. Success is not promised but definitely attainable. "I will eventually get to it", is a statement you will take to your grave. If it important to you, just do it. Believe everything that is in your heart. You are uniquely made and uniquely talented. Understand the uniqueness of you and build on that. If you want a kingdom you will do what kings do. There are no shortcuts are easy answers. It will always be dependent on what you are made of and if you are willing to live up to that.
The greatest determent to self fulfillment is self. Once you realize the importance of believing in your self no obstacle or situation will bind you. There is no time to waste and no time to think about. It is time to do it. The things that were once weaknesses have the greatest opportunity to become strengths. To overcome is to achieve. Stagnation or not doing something stunts your growth. Life is continuous and unforgiving. Just as much as life offers greatness it also offers misery. It will never choose which end of the spectrum will dictate our lives it is totally up to us. It is continuous and forever moving forward and so we should do the same. Consistency is not just an ingredient it is also necessary. Excellence is doing the right thing over and over until it becomes instinctive.
Ralph Waldo Emerson wrote, "He who is not everyday conquering some fear has not lived." Limitations are like cancer they strangle opportunities and render drive. It is beneficial to take a chance on life. Something from nothing is a major accomplishment. You gain momentum with each accomplishment. Continue to push forward and you will gain conviction. It is not good to be arrogant and unyielding, but excellent to be strong in your convictions. Knowledge gained from experience is heavy in substance. We should never procrastinate or put off what we can achieve. Grace is sufficient but gifts are blessings they should never be wasted. Let's keep pace with life. I know of no one that can accurately predicate their timeline. A moment wasted is time you can never get back. The pursuit of an empowered life requires diligence. Positive efforts equal positive results.

Secrets To Financial Independence - Tony Robbins

Financial Freedom - The Single Biggest Reason People Never Get Rich

On May 11th 2007 I suffered a severe accident that almost killed me. My near-death experience made me realize that time is not only money; it's life. So, I decided I was going to learn how to take care of my most precious asset: Time.
I want to share some ideas that will help you understand, what is financial freedom and how to achieve it? I also want to reveal the single biggest reason why people never get rich.
By the time you finish reading this article, I hope, you'll discover some things about yourself, and how to change the way in which you relate with money.

What is financial freedom?
Wealth is a mindset that allows you to have a healthy relationship with money. And financial freedom is a by product of that mindset.
Most people think they need a high income to achieve financial freedom, but the truth is they don't. There are a lot of guys who earn high salaries and are not financially independent.
Financial freedom does not depend on how much money you earn, but on how you spend that money. To put it in simple terms, if you can sustain the same lifestyle level without having to work you are financially free.

Getting the right mindset...
Most guys need to spend money to feel rich, while wealthy people need to have money to be rich. Can you notice the difference in the mindset?
Poor guys throw money away, they live from paycheck to paycheck and they struggle to make ends meet, because they buy things they don't need, and they burn every single penny of their salary trying to sustain a lifestyle they can't afford.
Then they assume that if they could increase their income all their problems would go away. The problem is that if they manage to increase their earnings they will also increase their expenses. So, no matter how much money they make they will never make ends meet.
All this nonsense results from following the wrong role models. Poor guys try to replicate the spending habits of the characters they watch in movies or magazines. To feel successful they need the same smartphone, the same watch, or the same car as the hero in the movie. Of course, when the trends change they throw it all away and start over again.
You need to realize that the movie, TV, and magazine industries earn money by making you spend money. The more influence they have over your spending habits the more they can charge to the companies that advertise with them
Instead, you should follow real life wealthy people and try to learn their spending habits.
For example, even though Warren Buffet is a billionaire he lives in the same house he bought for $31,500 dollars in 1958. Instead of buying a bigger house, and paying the increased maintenance costs that come with it, he saves the money and invest it. His pleasure comes from making money, not from spending it.
I don't want you to get me wrong; you don't need to become a cheap man to enjoy financial freedom. You just need to find balance and learn to spend wisely. Yes, you can buy the best smartphone, but not every year. Throw it away when it is not useful for you anymore, not when the trends change.
Remember, money is time and if you use it wisely it will buy you freedom. Once you learn to enjoy your freedom you won't need to burn your money buying stuff you don't really need.

Tony Robbins - What they dont teach you about FEAR

Entrepreneurship Vs. Employment

Most people these days are taught to “Go to school, Get a job, then retire”…But unfortunately that is just not viable anymore. People who are going to college are more often than not unable to get a job in their field for most degrees, and are left working entry level jobs with massive student loans hanging over their heads. And most employees are not getting paid fairly at all…

Why is the rate of pay for employees “Unfair” as I call it?

Several Reasons:
The amount of pay that they get for the very large amount of work they do for their company, is grossly in-proportionate compared to the amount of money being made by the leaders of their company, who are expending much less energy making exponentially more money, and their income is residual!
Let me illustrate this further: An employee is helping the founders and leaders in a company to actuate their vision, sell their products, further their company…and for this the employee gets a set, finite amount of pay…a pay that is capped off….while these top executives of the company get unlimited rewards…and do less work!
You see the employee wants to get a paycheck at the end of the week for helping to further this company. The owners of the company pay this check, and it is an incredibly minute, infinitesimal investment to pay this worker that much for the amount of work they are going to do to help this company, from which these top executives will benefit permanently. Because when you pay a worker to help you build a product for instance, they get paid once for the work they did on that product the week they were working on it….but the product then gets sold millions of times…sometimes consistently over the course of the lifetime of this business…during which time they are making incredible amounts of money off of this product…and have moved on to creating new products which they will get paid in the same way for…and the employees will get paid in the same minimum, one time fashion for helping with.
But this is not the only way in which being an employee is limiting and downright unfair and ergonomically disproportionate in the give and take compared to what the top executives are making….
You see employees rate of pay for different jobs and careers is generally static. This means that it stays the same…What doesn’t stay the same however is the value of the dollar…it is constantly dropping…what also doesn’t stay the same is the cost of living…it is constantly inflating…another thing that doesn’t stay the same? The amount of interest that banks are giving on saved money, and the amount of interest you have to pay on loaned money…the former is going down, and the latter is going up…So you see…

BEING AN EMPLOYEE IS NOT FINANCIALLY SOUND!!!
Even if you are happy helping someone else’s business for a very small limited amount of pay while they reap unlimited rewards off of it…the money you make these days as an employee is just not able to give you a sustainable lifestyle. If you are saving money, you are actually loosing money, because that money is loosing value every day, and the amount of interest you are getting from it is not in sync with inflation and the dropping value of the dollar…and if you are living off of credit cards or have student loans….well god help you…because that interest is just compounding every day…while the value of your dollar drops and any saved money becomes less and less valuable….and the cost of living goes up….
The problem here is that people have been taught to work for money, and then spend it. That is good for the 1% who this money goes back to. They pay employees their paychecks, and these employees then go out and spend their paychecks on products and services, and it goes right back into the hands of these executives, while the livelihood of these employees dwindles…and what will their retirement be like years from now after things have continued to progress in this manner? Will they be living off of canned goods and dry bread from food banks wearing old sweaters from thrift stores? Will they even be able to retire at all? Who knows…
The solution? Instead of working for money, make money work for you!
This is called entrepreneurship. Instead of spending money, start investing it. Instead of working for someone elses company and dream…work for your own!
Everyone has stuff that they love to do. Why not do it for yourself as a business?

Ways to Push Yourself Out of Your Comfort Zones to Achieve Prosperity

We are all going to come up against things that we are scared of in life. This is normal. Fear is healthy it is designed to protect us from harm, but it works to hard and overprotects us sometimes. You have to learn to look fear in the face and decide to not let it stop you, you must do what scares you. A way to make it easier is to not judge the outcomes of choosing this, but to just measure your actions to overcoming your fear. It also helps to have an accountability partner supporting and challenging you, and when you report your progress publicly you will be even more motivated to succeed.
Do what Scares you
This is where you have to begin. You have to identify something that scares you and chose to face it and overcome the fear. Fear is there to protect us, but unfortunately it is there to protect us from more than just harm it is also protecting us from growth and expansion. To truly achieve abundance and prosperity you have to grow yourself to make room to receive all of the new goodness coming your way. The journey towards this growth and expansion can be uncomfortable but it is well worth it.
Measure Action not Results
A large part of fear can often be associated around fear of failure at the new task which is why we do not measure the results of our actions, we measure if we took the action at all. We do not actually have control over results, no matter what we do, but we do have control over the actions we choose to take. So measure by what you control, your level of action you decide to take to overcome your fear. When you can learn to asses your progress this way you learn to take more risks because there is less to fear because you can no longer be scared of failure, except the failure to act.
Have an Accountability Partner
One of the great lessons I have learned about success in any area is that we cannot achieve success going it alone. We need to have support in all things we do, and this is especially true in the case of doing what scares us. It is easy to back out of taking the needed scary action when there is no one there to support you or push you. So find an accountability part, someone you trust and know cares deeply for you. They will know if you challenge is dangerous and tell you, but will also know when you are not pushing yourself hard enough and will make sure you get out of your comfort zone so you can grow.
Report publicly
One last way to helping to ensure you push yourself to do what scares you is to report on your intention and your action publicly. When we are scared it can be easy to hide to avoid confronting the fear. When you start to share publicly you can no longer hide and one of two results will occur. You will face and overcome your fear and get the admiration and support of the public community, or you will have to explain publicly why you didn't. For many the fear of explaining why you didn't take the action becomes greater than the actual action itself helping them to take that step.

How You Can Get The Millionaire Mindset And The Success You Want

One of the biggest things that holds people back from making the money they want, whether it is online or offline, is having the right mindset. This is, without question, the most important thing to have and something people spend tens of thousands of dollars acquiring through expensive training programs and audio books.
But what is this mindset and how do you get it?
Can you learn the millionaire mindset and apply it to your life so you literally think yourself rich?
Yes you can, this mindset isn't something you are born with, but it is something you learn and develop as you go through life. A lot of it is about how you interpret the events that happen to you. For example, you can use events in your life as positive things that build you up, or negative things that drag you down.
If you ask yourself "Why me?" or "Why do bad things always happen to me?" or similar questions when bad things happen in your life then you are going to find yourself not developing the right mindset.
Having a wealthy mindset comes from asking yourself questions and interpreting events so that they build you up and re-inforce positive behaviour. Look for the positive in everything that happens to you and you will find it. Admittedly, sometimes you have to look hard, but it is there and you will find that this attitude will help you be more successful and create the mindset of wealth.
But it's more than this too, you have to literally program yourself for success.
Why do you think the book "Think And Grow Rich" is found on the shelves of many of the worlds most successful people? Is it because it looks good and they like to pretend they are educated? No... it's because it works and the information in there is not only valuable but effective too!
Programming yourself for success, whether using a book or another method is one of the big secrets. You need to program yourself to look for, recognise and take advantage of the opportunities life presents you, which is where many people struggle. They are so focused on making money and getting rich that they don't see all the opportunities being presented to them.
One of the best ways to do this is through hypnosis. Hypnosis is a powerful way to develop any mindset you want because it works with your sub-conscious mind to make changes on a deep, internal level. This creates lasting change from the inside out, meaning instead of struggling to do something, you find yourself being it.

Protect your mind from Self-criticism

Self-talk, whether positive or negative, is your inner voice that says things you seldom speak out loud. How you talk to yourself determines the kind of person you are becoming.
The good news and the bad news about self-talk is that what you say is what you get. Speak critically to yourself and you will think badly about yourself. Speak graciously to yourself and you will think kindly about yourself. Your words will either bless or curse you and only you can control them.

Here are your choices -
Positive self-talk makes you feel confident, poised and assertive. It is like having a happy, optimistic tune playing in the recesses of your mind reminding you to look on the bright side, see the good, or to expect success.
Negative self-talk makes you feel unattractive, dumb, and faint-hearted. It is like having a perpetual moaning lament, a funeral dirge playing in the recesses of your mind reminding you of all the horrible things that have happened or might happen to you.

Which voice is the loudest for you?
Learn how to make self-talk work FOR you not against you. Here are four intellectual tricks you can pull on yourself to halt the nasty, negative, oppressive self-criticisms that hold you back:
Eavesdrop on yourself. Take note of the words you use to describe yourself. Do you say things like, “I look ugly,” or “I can’t learn anything new,” or “I’m nothing compared to those people,” or “I’m not very smart, after all, I flunked 7th Grade math.”
Pay attention to what you are saying to yourself. You may have become habitually addicted to self-criticism, and that self-criticism will keep you from becoming the person God intends for you to be.
Your first step to halt negative self-talk is to know what your inner voice is saying.
Cross-examine yourself. Your negative self-criticisms are likely untrue. Just because you flunked 7th Grade math does not mean you are dumb. It only means you flunked 7th Grade math.
Ask things like: What evidence is there for what I just called myself? Would I talk to another person the way I talk to myself? Are there more positive, uncritical ways I can speak to myself about myself? You want others to tell you the truth, don’t you? You should also want YOU to tell YOURSELF the truth about YOU.
Interrupt yourself. When you face a significant problem and your inner negative voice says, “Here we go again - another opportunity to prove how stupid I am!” Interrupt the negative voice with positive words. The voice may start out saying, “Here you go again,” but you catch yourself about to criticize yourself. Interrupt the sentence and speak out loud, “Another opportunity to solve a problem and be a happy person.”
Promise yourself. You are the only one who decides what your mind focuses on so promise yourself to be kind to yourself. Stop the nasty, negative self-criticisms and replace them with complimentary, up-beat messages to yourself.
Speak gently and kindly to yourself and you will be happier, have more peace of mind, and display a quiet confidence that will impress others.

7 Laws of Sowing and Reaping

You Reap Only What You Sow-
Sowing is a choice. It is intentional and you expect to reap from your efforts. If you sow apple seeds, you will get apples. If you want to be more optimistic sow the seeds of optimism. Sow positive behaviors to reap positive results.
Your thoughts are your seeds. Say to yourself positive affirmations, "I'm super good but I'm getting better", or "I am a positive person who looks for the best outcome in every situation"," the leads are great and there is opportunity in every one of them".
You won't reap bananas from pumpkin seeds, no matter how hard you hope for them. Hope is not a strategy. Hoping customers will buy from you will not create sales.

Know Where To Sow-
Seeds sown on rocks will never bear fruit. Sowing is an investment so be careful where you spend your energy and with whom.
If you want to be successful hang around successful people.

A Farmer Knows His Crop-
Sowing is an investment, so the farmer is careful. He is equipped to sow and reap in accordance with the nature of his crop.
The farmer has the land, has the right equipment, understands the calendar, knows the cultivation schedule, and knows the water and nutrients necessary for the crop to yield its intended result.
If the farmer is careless, if his stewardship falters, he stands to lose everything.

When the Time is Right, Reap-
You reap in a different season than you sow. Plants don't germinate overnight and consequences are often delayed. Focused training should be done in the off season so when the season comes to harvest we are prepared and ready. Weekly meetings are where you water your crops, role playing.
Most people aren't willing to do the hard work it takes to make selling easy or production, service, call center, for that matter. Training is the highest value activity you do in any company or department.
You don't get great at selling (or in any position) in one day you get great at selling day by day.

We Can't Do Anything About Last Year's Harvest-
Life is filled with important choices, and every choice has a consequence, it's cause and effect. It's not about whether last year's harvest was good or bad, it's about how you handled the success or failure of that harvest.
We can do something only about this year's crop (Living in "NOW")... but we can take what we learned last year and make this year's harvest more bountiful.
Life is full of lemon's, it's up to you to make lemonade.
It's important to have the strength and the desire to continue sowing.

Don't Worry About the Weather Or Anything Else-
Worry is wasted effort and the breeding ground of doubt. It can lead you to focus on potential losses rather than effective solutions.
Combat worry by taking positive actions that will prevent worry from happening.

You Reap Much More Than You Sow-
One single seed yields hundreds to thousands of its kind.
To the world you may be one person, but to one person you may be the world.
You can never like anyone else more than you like yourself and don't expect others to like you if you don't hold yourself in high esteem.
These principles can be applied to each and every one of us. They apply to every company in every department in every division. These principles are Biblical - Galatians 6:7, it's Karma also known as Cause and Effect.
You reap what you sow!

Stay Motivated in the Game

Why You Should Never Give Up

Do you ever feel like you are running on empty and can’t encounter one more obstacle – that you just want to give up?
I know how your commitment can be tested time and time again and how it is almost easier to turn your optimism into pessimism when you wake up day after day without seeing the change that you hope to have seen by this point in your life.
It can be almost debilitating to your psyche and spirit to face the reality that all of your hard work seems to have counted for nothing - am I right? This can easily enough be a reason to throw in the towel and call it quits, but stop right there – will you?
I want you to think about why you started. I want you to think of what you’re after and how much your dreams mean to you. Perseverance leads to the passion that you put behind every day activities, after all. If you’re anything like me, I bet you swore to yourself that you would die trying – so why are you even going to entertain the thought of quitting?
When we reach the point on our path when our truth is tested and it seems as if all of our struggle will never turn into success, we must ask ourselves some questions.
What led you to this moment? What's your biggest motivator? What is success – anyways? Are we plugged into what society calls success or our own personal value system? And what do you see for yourself – what are your soul’s dreams?
When we can break down our anxieties into simple questions, we can experience a deeper understanding of why we began in the first place. We are then able to remember that the perserverance within gives us the ability to overcome set back after set back and allows us to dig deep into our personal well of power and give it all we’ve got. This understanding reiginites the flame that fuels us and we find our spirit kicked into re-start.
So, can I tell you something? What you are after is what you deserve – and your frustrations and anxieties while hitting a road bump don’t define you. If anything, you should let them redefine you.
You started what you’re after for a reason and I don’t ever want you to lose sight of this simple truth. Keep it in the back of your mind as you’re paving the road with experience.
Experience is the pavement of your own sidewalk to personal freedom. And your perserverance has gotten you right here, right now.
Don't ever back down from your truth,

Turning On The Positive, Turning Off The Negative

We all have a positive and negative subconscious and its up to us how we choose to use both of them.
They are both very obedient and will do whatever is asked of them.
If you choose to use the negative subconscious and this can be in the things you say or think.
I'm having a bad day
I hate this job
My car is a wreck
I'm not happy with my partner
I don't have enough money
All these are negative statements that your subconscious will go to work on because it is so obedient and will deliver more of these things to you.
If you change these statements slightly to make them positive:
I'm having a good day
I like parts of my job
My car gets me from A to B
I intend to be happy with my partner
I have enough money and I'd like more
You will start to get more of them. It's only a case of making a small change to what you say and what you think, you have to remember that what you say and what you think is what you attract.
Being mindful of what you say and what you think is key, because these are the things you will attract more of and if you want to attract more money you have to talk and think that more money is coming your way because that is what you will attract. If you say and think 'I haven't got enough money that is what you will attract.
If you find yourself thinking 'I hate my job', noticing it is the first stage and that's good that you have noticed that you have thought a negative thought. If you really do hate your job, find something even if its really small to like about your job. The more things you can find to like about your job, the more things for you to like will appear until eventually you can say 'I like my job'.
Sometimes if you are having a really bad day you might want to try lying to yourself and pretending your life is very different, I do this a lot. I go into a daydream and imagine I have everything I want, all the money I could possibly need, luxury goods, fancy car, swimming pool, all the usual things that people dream about. And its great to do that because it moves your subconscious to acting into bringing those things to you, and it makes you feel great and gets you out of the bad day syndrome!
Accessing your positive subconscious is very much like building muscle, the more you use it the bigger it gets and the smaller the negative muscle gets. So learn to use your positive subconscious everyday to get the results you want. Don't forget your subconscious is very obedient and it will deliver whatever you ask, you just have to remember that you are asking, by what you say and what you think.

Why You Need to Have a Rainy Day Fund

If you have tried to get out of debt before and tried to control your spending, then like me you know that as soon as you start to see some progress, something bad happens. Your heating stops working, or your transmission goes in your car or you have some form of unexpected expense. This can lead you back into debt and leave you feeling like you can never be free from this debt trap. This is why a small rainy day fund is an essential step in your journey to freedom
In his book "The total Money Makeover", Dave Ramsey suggests a starter fund of $1,000 and I do not disagree. This will enable you to cash flow any minor, unexpected expenses that occur. After you get on a written budget and before you start paying off any debt, you need to save up $1,000. This should take only about a month if you get really serious about it and no more than 2 months. Then when you have your rainy day fund in place if an unexpected expense comes up, you simply pay it out of your fund and then set about rebuilding your fund up to $1,000 again.
It is important to know the difference between when it is raining and when you just think it might be. A birthday present that you want to buy is not an emergency so you do not use your fund. Christmas is not an emergency, it is in December every year, and again you do not use your fund for this. Your rainy day fund should only be used for something that is totally unexpected, could not conceivably be planned for and is absolutely necessary. Only when you have satisfied these 3 conditions, should you use your rainy day fund.
Your rainy day fund should be kept separate from your main bank account where you cannot spend it by accident or too easily. It should also be easy enough to access when you need it and without any penalties. For this reason I would advise against keeping it in any form of long-term savings account. A local credit union account should be fine for your rainy day fund. Remember, this is not an investment, you are not trying to make a return on this.
I know what you are thinking. "What if I have an emergency that is more than $1,000?". Let's face it $1,000 will not get you that much. It is the fear that this causes, that will drive you on to pay your debts off faster. It is supposed to feel a little uncomfortable. Now when you are debt free, except for your mortgage, then you need a proper rainy day fund. This should consist of 3 to 6 months of expenses and again should be kept somewhere that you can get at it when you need it but not somewhere that you can spend it too easily. When you have this in place, you are prepared for most of life's emergencies and you can sleep a little easier.

How To Organize Your Personal Finances

Organizing your personal finances is not an easy feat especially if you are used to spending left and right. However, recent economic struggles shook us from our comfort zone and our sense of financial security. What you thought worked before cannot remain to be your lifestyle now.
While a drastic change of lifestyle is not really necessary, you need to make sure that you have a firm hold on your personal finances. Get your finances in order and make sure that you know where it is all heading. If anything, it will help you ensure that it goes to your priority expenses.

There are four techniques that will help you organize your personal finances and we will touch on each of them one by one.
First of all, you need to have financial goals. You cannot achieve something just by throwing caution in the wind and letting everything happen by chance. You need to have financial goals to give direction to your plans. Think about how you want to live your life in the future. Do you want to live in peace, in your own home and without any debt to your name? This picture means you have to start saving up for your retirement. If you want to retire in your own home, you can start saving up to buy a home of your own. Your goals will help define the decisions that you will make.

Another way to put your finances in order is to track your spending. Check how much goes to food, groceries and your entertainment expenses. Analyze if this is really how you want to spend your money. Do you think you are putting enough aside for your emergency fund? You will never know unless you track your spending. If you think that you are spending more than what you can afford, listing your every expense will tell you where you are putting too much money in and how you can solve that.

Combine this tracking with your budget plan and you should be able to direct your funds to the right place. Your budget will help you identify your priority expenses and make sure that you are allotting enough money for it. This budget will also help you plot your financial goals. If you plan on buying a new car, you can set aside an amount on your budget plan to make sure you stay true to your savings.

Lastly, organizing your personal finances mean you should know your net worth. This will give you an overall picture of how healthy you are financially. If you think that your finances are not in good shape then you can add that to your financial goals. You can also take that into consideration as you create your budget plan. If you have a lot of debts, paying it off should be a part of your budget.
Monitor your net worth and see how it improves as time passes. Organizing your finances can help you practice proper financial management and you will see just how beneficial that is when you are faced with a crisis.

5 Simple Techniques to Get Unstuck

It happens to each one of us at one time or another. We become stuck. We enter a state of lethargy. Whether it involves our work or our home life, there are just days (and unfortunately sometimes weeks and months) where we feel stuck. We don’t seem to have the energy to move forward. We feel the need to get things done but can’t find a grain of momentum to make it happen. After a while we know we have to do something, yet we sit on the couch like an immobile brick. Stuck.
When this happens, remember that feeling like a brick is your key to becoming unstuck. When you can use the BRICK techniques - Breathe, Recognize, Initiate, Connect, and Kinesthetics - this BRICK will release you from your milieu and move you forward. Used in combination, they are a powerful source of movement while incorporating even one BRICK element will help you reduce the feeling of being stuck.

Breathe
When we are stuck, so is our breathing. Stop and notice your breathing. Is it coming from deep in your abdomen or is it in your chest? Is it deep and slow or short and quick? By actively controlling our breath, we can loosen up the grip of lethargy and begin to feel more ourselves.
Try this exercise: Expand your abdomen slowly allowing the breath to fill the expanding cavity. Hold the breath for two counts. Then release the breath out slowly, if possible twice as slowly as your inhale. Breathe in, hold, and release five times in a row at least once a day. In time as your breath becomes more natural, and so will your momentum.

Recognize
Focusing on what we do not have, the mountain of work before us, or previous disappointments can keep us stuck. By recognizing the good we have in our lives, we can detach ourselves from our negative stories and worries providing us with the strength to move forward.
To begin reframing your viewpoint and recognize the good, try to either think of five (5) things to be grateful for before you step foot out of bed every morning or at the end of your day write a list of the good things that happened. When we can shake loose from our fear and negativity, we find the courage to step ahead.

Initiate
Especially when we have large daunting projects in front of us, we can be so overwhelmed and full of fear that we are immobilized. As the saying goes, what is the best way to eat an elephant? One step at a time. Look at your own tasks and projects. What is the smallest, easiest step you can take which will move you forward? You don’t have to make significant progress. The goal is simply to make some movement.
If you are looking for a new job, maybe the smallest step you are able to make is to look for websites which may post relevant positions. You don’t need to find or apply for any jobs. All you need to do is find the sites. Then set your next goal to find at least one job for which you can apply. Again you don’t need to apply, just find an opening. Every day take just one little baby step and soon you will find yourself moving ahead.

Connect
When we are curled up on our couch hiding from the tasks which overwhelm us, we tend to isolate. This isolation keeps us trapped. At times like this, reach out to others. Is there a friend you can call you haven’t talked to in a while? Can you join your co-workers for lunch instead of eating at your desk? Can you go to a coffee shop to work instead of hiding in your house? Reconnect with the human race to begin feeling like yourself again.

Kinesthetics
Get your body moving! Do you like yoga? Do you like to walk? Can you do a few jumping jacks? Move your muscles, increase your heart rate, and just do something to take your body out of a static position. Moving your body can shake the cobwebs out of your mind. Don’t think you have to commit to a major exercise program. Touch your toes a few times a day. Do a few stretches. Park further away adding a bit more to your walk. Remember that your body is designed to move. As you allow your body to do what it does naturally, it can help you to renew your desire to act in the rest of your life.

How To Achieve Short-Term And Long-Term Goals

Decide what your goals are
Before you go about achieving your goals, you need to actually think about what exactly they are. Make sure your they're things that you can realistically achieve: there's no point setting yourself a goal you can't achieve. For example, don't tell yourself you're going to run a marathon next month if you've never done any long-distance running before; these things take months and months of practice. When deciding what your goals are, you have to be practical and have to have some common sense about what you can do and how long it will take to do it. It also helps to make your goals very specific: saying you're going to do more exercise, for example, isn't specific. Saying you're going to do an hour a day is.
Categorise them
Once you've got a list of goals you want to achieve, separate them into short-term goals and long-term goals. Again it's important to be realistic here: do some research and see what you have to do to achieve your goals. It's also important for you to have an idea of how long it will take you to reach your goals. If something's going to take several years to do, for example getting a degree, it's going to be long-term because you're investing a lot of time in achieving that. Something like tidying your home is short-term because it's something you can get done in the near future.
Achieving short-term goals
Whenever you have things to do, being organised and having a plan is always the best way to be productive. The best way to start achieving your short-term goals is to prioritise them. When it comes to your short-term goals, decide which ones you want to get done first and go about getting them done. It helps to have a list so you can check things off as you get them done. It's important not to put things off: even if you set yourself just one short-term goal, it's important to get it done sooner rather than later.
Achieving long-term goals
When it comes to achieving long-term goals, you have to be patient and prepared to invest a lot of time into achieving them. The important thing to do is to be motivated enough to stick with it until the end. Before you start going about achieving long-term goals, do plenty of research and be sure that this is the right thing for you. It's very often the case that there are lots of steps involved when it comes to achieving long-term goals: you have to plan each step of the way there so you know what challenges you could find yourself facing. It's important to be committed and not to lose focus along the way. Before starting to achieve your long-term goals, think about what it will be like once you've achieved them. Picture where you'll be once you've achieved your goals and use this image to keep you motivated along the way.
Be flexible
Life is never simple. The problem with setting plans is that there's nearly always something beyond your control that comes along and disrupts them. Life changes and you can never fully predict how much your life will change in the next few years. The best thing to do is to stick to your plans as they are, but at the same time you have to be prepared to be flexible in case something does happen.

Ten Tips for Attracting Abundance

Do you always find yourself feeling limited financially? This brief article will help you to open to a new level of abundance by changing your thoughts, beliefs and feelings about money.
1. Use the Law of Attraction. Focus your feelings and thoughts on what you want, NOT what you don't want! We are magnetic beings, therefore we will pull into our reality anything that our whole being/energetic body is vibrating at. If we are vibrating lack in our energy field through our feelings about money, we will attract what we are vibrating - lack. Change your feelings and thoughts from not enough to having it all!
2. DREAM BIG. Fantasize like you did when you were a kid. FEEL the emotions of having it all. Close your eyes and really FEEL yourself driving your brand new car! Feel the smile on your face, the wind blowing your hair, see the beautiful view - FEEL it all. Emotion is what creates!
3. Re-program the subconscious mind from all the negative thoughts and belief systems to positive thoughts and new belief systems. You can create positive affirmations. You can verbally say them or you can record them and listen to them during the day and while you sleep. You can also remove limiting beliefs and blocks through energetic work. I offer Practical Mastery Abundance Sessions to clear all kinds of core level fears, beliefs, worthiness, etc. that surround abundance. Visit my website for full details.
4. Know that you ARE worthy and you DO deserve abundance!
5. Know that there is enough for everyone on the earth. What you believe is what you will create. Dismantle the limiting beliefs that you carry regarding abundance. God's abundance is unlimited and He/She wants us to have it all. Trust you are loved and know in your heart that all you need to do is change your feelings regarding worthiness and abundance can be yours. Change your mind, change your emotions, change your world!
6. Everyday bless, thank and be grateful for all that you already have! Include material possessions, your friends, loved ones, your job, your health, your happiness etc.
7. Be open to receiving abundance. Some people have buried deep in their subconscious minds that they are not worthy of receiving so they push the abundance right out of their life. You have to be willing to receive in order to acquire all that you rightfully deserve.
8. Be open to giving even if it is only a dollar! Give, share. It works both ways and MUST flow equally in as it does out. Hoarding wealth is not allowed. This creates a block in your energy field. It's like having a big sticky note stuck on you that says "I have to hold on to what I have because I fear no more is coming in." You fear lack - that is what you will create. The opposite of what you want!
9. Learn to become efficient in handling your wealth. If you are not good at handling wealth now, how can you efficiently handle a million dollars? Read books about money management. Find a mentor who is wealthy.
10. Love yourself! If you don't love yourself - then all the material stuff in the world will never make you feel fulfilled. Connect with your soul and grow. Remember who you really are. Loving yourself, removes fear. When fear has been removed your life will flourish.
I hope these brief tips have been insightful and help you on your journey to abundance. If you would like energetic assistance in helping you to remove limiting programs, limiting beliefs, core fears, etc. please visit my website for complete details.
