What is the Path to Success?

Self Improvement – The Clear Path To Success

By Don Weyant/Founder SelfImprovementBrain.com

As the Self Improvement saying goes, "the wiser I become, the more I know how much more there is to know."
The tools I share worked for me. They are not the only way, but a way: a way that has guided me towards a level of internal peace and an unconditional love of self. This kind of love transcends judgement and blame.

It doesn't mean goody-goody, nicey-nicey.
It does mean balanced sharing, acceptance of self and reality in all moments, service in a non-judgemental state, compassionate loving allowance.
Important as the journey of unfolding the inner love through self-discovery and enlightenment is, it is as important to enjoy life, to be able to develop the ability to laugh at our antics, play with our children, to have balanced sharing, laughter, and a joyful outlook on life while having the time of our lives all along the way. In short 'lighten up'.

Do not get caught up in the process of attaining your dream where you forget to live life.
Smile, laugh, and play like a child in the mystery of the breath that supports life. If your focus remains in attainment, you will always be attaining. See your dream as a reality. A reality you are already living internally by allowing the adventure to empower self through the passion of living wholly your moment-to-moment experiences.

Unfold an expanded level of self-awareness by being aware of the reality you are creating.
Continue and build upon the knowing that all that is created is for purpose and good. The purpose is to learn what you are requiring to learn so you can project an expanded level of the internal love. Discover within the created situation what it is you desire to know.
Check yourself emotionally; are you holding onto any fear?

If so, remember: fear creates losses.
If not, go beyond the quest, so you can see yourself as you desire to see yourself. Have faith that whatever is for your highest good will be given unto you. Then follow your heart, your first inclination of direction.
Through your daily prayers and meditations, continue to ask for guidance, offer your concerns to a higher source, then go about your day in full faith that your highest good will unfold in perfect timing.
Realize that any form of doubt is created through the limiting aspect of the mind, drawing from past experiences, or future fears of what ifs. Limitations that in reality, have nothing to do with the moment now.

Create your dream through the knowing that your worth is not from anything external you place in your life, yet you are worth all things.
Employing a trust that crates a position of strength stability, abundance and the peaceful power that refined unconditional love (love in its purest form) always supports.
Creating from fear, a sense for of one's perception of love, may be a motivation to act (i.e., if I don't do this, I won't eat).

It is however, the ability to move through the fear that dis-empowers self, so you can expand your levels of self-realization, inner fulfilment, and abundance in all areas of life.

The Importance of Facing Your Fears and Taking Risks-- You Can Learn to be Courageous

Article source: http://www.selfgrowth.com/articles/the-importance-of-facing-your-fears-and-taking-risks-you-can-learn-to-be-courageous

Courage is a towering strength, one that has the revered status of a virtue throughout the ages and worldwide. To many people it represents something quite daunting, but in reality, it is not nearly as elusive as many believe.
Psychological courage propels a person from powerless to robust and increases exponentially the ability to transform an impossible dream into a mission accomplished. Walt Disney, the great dream maker, believes that, "All our dreams can come true if we have the courage to pursue them."
I love watching the 150 watt light bulb go on during a person's journey forward, experiencing the epiphany that facing your fears and refusing to be helpless makes you a mighty force for enacting your vision and ensuring the quest to become the best you can be. The process of learning to take risks and act boldly is truly an awesome one, the gift that keeps on giving. This is a gift you give yourself and the one you offer to others by your example.
What do you gain by becoming psychologically courageous? You gain yourself. There is a wonderful freedom that comes from being brave and facing your fears. Unchallenged fear is a prison that progressively depletes your world of choices as you comply repeatedly with its dictates. Avoidance leads to more avoidance, soon leading to a debilitating detour from a fulfilling, fruitful life.
What is malignant to the human spirit is the capitulation to fear. Dealing with fear in proactive, healthy ways is the primary element of psychological courage. Fear is one of the emotional/physical pathways set into gear when the old, non-thinking part of the brain perceives that a situation is life-threatening. The other pathway is aggression. The fear reaction sets the body in motion to run or escape from the threat, while the aggression reaction sets the body in motion to fight. This "fight or flight response" is essential in truly dangerous circumstances to decrease the chance of injury or death.
The key word here is "perceives." The perception that a situation is life-threatening does not mean it is. And therein lies the rub. Most of us have experienced fear in circumstances that do not threaten our safety. But our body is acting like a big old bear is chasing us down a mountain! The response is the same as in the days of the cavemen. It is, however, our interpretation of the situation -- what we tell ourselves about the potential consequences -- instead of a real threat of danger that has become the trigger.
Just as avoidance leads to more avoidance, courageous thoughts and actions lead to more courageous thoughts and actions. As a psychologist, I have worked with so many people whose lives were tied up in knots by their uncontested fears and by the difficulties of not knowing how to manage the stressors in their lives. It is truly a joy to help them unlock the door. There are coaching strategies that can be instrumental in evolving from a fear-based approach to a proactive, self-confident march forward. The psychologically courageous person:
• Manages fear
• Makes difficult/bold choices and takes risks
• Is ready, willing and able to face conflict
• Develops a proactive attitude toward difficulties in life
• Ends unhealthy personal relationships
• Makes important habit changes
• Makes change an ally instead of an adversary
• Pursues goals and dreams

Set Life Goals And Face Your Fear = Success

Success is something we all aspire to, we all want, and yet is an elusive endeavor. Starting out for success can be difficult especially if you have not defined success in your own terms. It is a subjective topic. You cannot compare your state of success to other people as you cannot compare your misfortunes to them.
To get into your desired state of success, you must define SUCCESS in your own terms. It also involves honing your values and qualities for success, and facing your fear.
How to Set Life Goals
Setting life goals is essential for success. Life in general is like a ship sailing through the unknown seas. If you don't have direction, you will keep on sailing till your engines give up. Set your life goals and be specific about it. Know where you want to go and enjoy the journey, this will give you a safe cushion to land on when you have reached your desired state of success. It is normal to want more when you are at it, but having no goal at all will not give you a yard stick of how grateful you should be for the success. Gratefulness, yet another important value for success which we will try tackle in this article.
Be Grateful EVERYDAY!
The journey to success is not an easy road. It involves a lot of failures and small steps forward. Be grateful anyway. Being grateful helps you look into the journey to success in a lighter shade and better light. No one has won over the challenge to become successful by being pessimistic. Small success accounts for the overall success. A dollar profit is better that having no profit at all. When you are at a break-even point or having net loss, take it as a lesson learned, come out better and bigger. The more you have to work over to gain profit or success.
Facing Your Fear
Most people fail because of fear. Success and failure is a package, risk is everywhere including the journey to your success. If you are not willing to risk failing, you will not succeed. If you decide not to work for your success because of fear, you fail by default. Fight a good fight and win over your fear. This will give you a better chance of winning SUCCESS.
Set your life goals, carry the right values toward success, and win over your fear. These things maybe easier said than done but it is achievable. This is just the basic formula for success, very achievable and very true, one that we all posses in our self be we fail to enhance.
