Dream Blockers

Dream blockers, you have them, I have them, we all have them. These are the people in our lives that try to deter us from following our dreams. These people are normally compromised of our, family members, friends, relationship partners, co-workers, etc. Unlike any average hater, who is always hoping for your downfall and they don’t wish to see you succeed in any area of your life. The Dream Blockers manifest their “hate”(the reason I put quotations around hate is because the dream blocker is still hating on you, but it’s not in way that’s meant to demean you, but in a way they feel like they’re helping you) in a different way. I call this the “realest” way.

These are the people who are constantly telling you to be responsible; you don’t need to worry about that because you’re doing well over here. Here are the more common one’s I hear on a day to day basis, “Are you sure you want to go after that job you already have stability in this one.” Or “Why do you want to major in that? Are you even going to be able to find a job or even be able to make money doing that once you graduate?” You know just here recently I have been talking to a lot of people about getting the courage to follow their dreams, but the number one reason why they won’t commit is because the dream blocker(s) are holding them back. But there has to come a time in our life, where we ask ourselves am I a me pleaser or a people pleaser?

Now before I get all these comments talking about, “Bre I work in a customer service environment where I have to make people happy all the time, so what are you talking about?” I’m not talking about that. However, what I am talking about is not living your life as your own, but in a way other people control it. I’m going to let you know something guys, you only have ONE life to live, and when you look back 10, 20, 50 years from now. What will you see? Do you want to be known for taking the risk for following your dreams or do you want to be known for playing it safe because that dream blocker was always in your ear?

So, I’m going to close with this. Guys don’t live your life trying to keep someone else happy. You live your life in a way where you are concerned about keeping yourself happy. The life you have is nobody else’s but your own. Ultimately when it comes down to going after your dream, it’s going to be your responsibility to go after it regardless if anybody is in your corner supporting you or not. Of course it’s not going to be easy, but with a lot of hard work and determination anything is possible. And remember if nobody else believes in you I do. Also, always keep this in the back of your head, there is no such thing as tomorrow all you have is today. So, with that in mind let’s get to work on our dreams.

Create Your Own Vision Book or Vision Board

As you travel on your journey towards the success you desire, you obviously understand the importance of having a purpose, vision, mission, a set of very clearly defined goals and finally individual goal specific actions, which you will carry out every day. Once you have this crucial structure in place and you are completely committed to achieving your goals. There are a few tools you can use to support you on your journey.
Positive affirmation is one, which helps you to overcome negative self-talk, build belief and encourages you to engage in daily goal specific supportive behaviors or routines, which will support your success. Another powerful support tool is visualization. This is a process where you create a crystal clear picture in your mind of exactly what you want to achieve in the future and then with all the emotion, energy and conviction you can muster. You visualize yourself, living exactly that life. Your brain is unable to tell the difference between a visualized and a real experience. So over time as you visualize yourself living this perfect life, you encourage the right behavior, which will support the daily goal specific activity, necessary to invite the success you want into your experience.

One of the best ways to help you create the vivid pictures you want, which will then serve as the focal point for your daily visualization practice, is a vision board or vision book. These are simply a book or a board, which you fill with pictures, photos or concepts, depicting exactly how you want to see your life turn out in the future. Your vision book or board is a visual representation of your goals and aspirations. It’s a physical book or a board, similar to a scrap book, or a notice board (as fancy as a framed photo assemblage or as simple as a presentation board), where you assemble photos, inspirational words and quotes, and other items, which represent the achievement of your desired goals.

All or One

You can create a vision book or board that encompasses all of your goals in each area of your life, or make several, which each illustrate one goal or one area of focus. You may find that you want to create one for your personal life, and another for your business-related goals, which you keep at work. Depending on your environment, you might find it helpful to have the vision book open, on your desk, or placed in a spot where you can see it as often as possible.
Regardless of where you keep it, refer to it daily and whenever you need to re-focus or re-energize yourself. The images on your vision board or in your vision book, will help to stimulate those all-important feeling, which will help you to actually feel and experience all the positive feel good emotions you will feel, when you actually do achieve the success you have envisioned. These positive emotions, which your vision board or book will conjure up, can very often help you to overcome a roadblock or challenge, which you may encounter or if repeated daily, inspire you to take the goal specific actions you need to take, to ensure your sustainable success.
Guidelines for Creating Your Vision Book
As you create your personal vision book, remember to have fun and enjoy the process.

It’s Your Map to Your Future

These are your dreams, and so naturally you’ll want to be selective about what goes in the book and how neat and organized you keep it. Look for images from magazines, photographs, and words that best represent your dream, your purpose, and your ideal future. Keep them upbeat and positive. As you build your vision board, know that it is a collage of your future. Build it wisely and allow your mind to visualize possibilities, which will stretch and challenge you.

Achievement Board

As you achieve things on your vision board, take them off and transfer them onto your achievement board. This gives you a way to reward your successes and a physical representation of all the successes you have enjoyed. Whenever you feel like nothing is working and you cannot seem to make any progress. Visit your achievement board and use the positive feeling of satisfaction, which came with achieving and transferring those successes onto your achievement board. This will help you to inspire yourself and to know that if you keep taking action daily, you will eventually succeed.

Freedom Is: Doing What You Want to Do!

How many times have you thought, yes, I'd like to do that, but I couldn't because... What stops us doing what we want to do, is it fear of the unknown? How different our lives would be if we actually did some of those things. Perhaps its time to experience a few simple things you've always dreamed of.
Why not begin with some small things, an amazing holiday, perhaps learning to ski? A completely new wardrobe in a new colour palate or style, you could introduce items a few at a time. Maybe a new way of spending weekends; or changing your eating habits for a healthy Mediterranean diet, or some other secret wish.
If your dream is much bigger it will need some serious thought and planning. First be sure you know what you want, there is a saying - "be careful what you wish for it might just happen". Secondly don't rush off on a tangent, only act after you have given an exciting idea some serious consideration. Take time to plan how you can execute your dream as a step by step plan. This gives you time to envisage living your dream and a chance to make any changes to the initial idea.
A number of years ago we decided we hated cold winters, so we started to consider the benefits of living abroad and started looking at places where we would like to live. However we don't like the cold neither did we like Mediterranean summers they are too hot for us to feel comfortable.
Meanwhile I decided to develop my entrepreneurial spirit and learn more about the internet. I had previously joined internet membership websites and built a few websites of my own. So things began taking shape I would learn internet marketing which I could work at anywhere with a laptop and internet connection. This would help to fund our venture, and give me an interesting paying hobby, whilst my partner enjoys sport. How big it will develop depends on the time and effort I invest, I love spending time developing it and watching it grow in popularity.
Last summer we bought a large static mobile home sited near fishing lakes in a quiet part of Lincolnshire for us to spend our summers in. We chose Lincolnshire as my partner has friends and family in the area, also my elderly Mother lives nearby, an important consideration. In fact we spent many long sunny weekends there last summer.
Meanwhile we have decided on Spain as our winter destination, found a house near the beach on the edge of a typical Spanish town and are in the process of selling the house here and buying in Spain. So all it takes is some serious thought, a good plan, some effort and a bit of luck and it can all come together.
What is your Dream? Make it happen, take charge of your life.
It's not nearly as scary when taken step by step as part of a plan. You have time to make adjustments along the way.
In a few months time we expect to be spending the summer by the fishing lakes and by the autumn we expect to be living in Spain, with maybe a few summer visitors renting the house in Spain in the meantime. It's all looking pretty good and appears to be falling into place.
Now if one of your dreams is fulfilling an entrepreneurial spirit by running your own on-line business, so that when you are ready to semi-retire you can live anywhere you fancy; by the lakes, the beach, and a choice of many countries, now is the time to begin. Start now and build a hobby business whilst you are in paid employment.
Either develop an existing hobby or learn something new. Start small and expand your business when you have honed your skills and are ready to retire. You will have a great interest that you have developed. Once your business is completely set up and functioning fully it requires relatively simple maintenance leaving lots of spare time to live your life to the full.
Life is full of surprises you will be amazed at what you can achieve if you decide what you want; put your mind to work to achieve it, together with some determination and energy, and you will see your idea flourish and fulfil your dreams.
So I will close wishing you an exciting fulfilling future.
My name is Anne -"We always aim to give more value than you expect"

Top Habits of Motivated People

Many unsuccessful people are not necessarily unsuccessful, they simply have not found their strengths within their natural abilities yet. People become highly motivated when they find their purpose in life. Everyone has a burning drive inside of them. For some, they need to learn from others to find it. For others, the drive comes naturally and pushes them to do great things.
Following is a list of what naturally, highly motivated people do differently and what they can teach us.
1. They don't dwell on adversity.
Highly motivated people don't dwell on problems. If they mess up on a speech in public, fail a test, or do something embarrassing, they don't try to push it away. They don't let their mistakes stop them from achieving their goals. They learn from their experiences, good or bad, and move on towards the goal.

2. They read, A LOT.
Highly motivated people are always learning. Reading allows one to take in the knowledge of some of the smartest people who have ever lived. Highly motivated people don't spend much time watching reality TV - they do, however, spend their time reading.

3. They focus on goals and dreams.
Highly motivated people are always working for something. They know what they want, and they search for ways to achieve it.

4. They are grateful.
Being grateful keeps us humble. There is no room for the ego in an inspirational, motivational life. Try to write down 5 things you are grateful for every day.

5. They are not restricted by limits.
Highly motivated people are driven to go above and beyond; they are trusted by others, focused, and have great confidence in their own abilities.

6. They look at the upside.
Instead of focusing on what's NOT working and bad experiences-which so many of us tend to do-they instead focus on what IS working and their successes.

7. They are authentic.
They are true to themselves, despite what others think. They don't live their lives solely to please others.

8. They don't give up.
When they stumble over that proverbial bump in the road, they analyze the problem, come up with a plan, take action, and overcome it.

9. They don't blame others.
They never blame others for their failures. They understand that ultimately they alone are in charge of their actions and choices and no other.

10. They surround themselves with motivators.
Their friends are those who are trustworthy, positive, supportive, and are people who bring out the best in them, unconditionally.

11. They surround themselves with motivational and inspirational stimuli.
Books, video, music, art, nature, in short, anything that brings and sustains positive energy.
In closing, we leave you with one final motivational and inspirational quote:
"You can do anything you wish to do, have anything you wish to have, be anything you wish to be."

STAY MOTIVATED!
