Personal Growth

Live, Love, Grow:
One of the most heartbreaking things about the current world is that there is a growing number of people who have harvested a lot of negativity in their lives. This negativity comes in all forms- anxiety, low self esteem and depression being the most common.

These negative qualities prevent people from attaining their true potential. Personal growth is the most powerful tool that one can use to overcome these obstacles.

How is personal growth different from normal growth?
Let us consider two cases. Both persons A and B face the same type of stressful work environment. They are equally vulnerable to unavoidable health problems as well.

Person A denies having these problems. He believes that they can’t be solved. He faces the stress without any emotional preparation and as a result his overall wellbeing turns out to be a little shaken up. By not identifying the need to do something about his stress, he has subjected himself to physical and mental strain.

On the other hand, person B acknowledges these problems. He has faith that there is something that can be done to overcome his stress- he believes that the power to change resides within him. He seeks out a good mentor, practices positive techniques, and turns out a changed man. He feels like a different person, because he has allowed himself to grow.

Personal growth is a choice. Once a person has decided that he wants to grow physically, emotionally and spiritually, nothing really can affect him.

Personal Growth and Positivity:
The first step to personal growth is acknowledging your own problems and flaws. The subsequent step can be summarized in one mantra: Believe is seeing.

In order to develop crucial all round life skills, you need to identify your own potential. Every person is a living container having a lot of positive energy. The power to change lies within you, and you need to believe in that.
There are many ways to allow this positive energy to flow out. The key is to alter the way you think. With a little coaching, a person can learn to shed all negative thoughts, vibrate his wishes to the universe and focus his positive energy towards pure thoughts and a calm mindset. It’s all a matter of perspective.

Personal growth starts with a positive thinking. Thoughts of a certain frequency will beget consequences of a similar frequency. Only in a comfortable, happy environment can a person truly grow in all directions. And the power to create that environment lies within you.

Growing through Actions:
Along with altering one’s thoughts, it is equally important to alter the way they influence their physical surroundings. One of the most pleasant ironies about personal growth is that you can’t do it without other people!

Look at it this way. Teachers learn more about themselves and their subjects through teaching. If you can be a positive mentor for someone else, you will earn a double prize- your own personal growth as well as their.

Personal growth is also reflected in acts of kindness. If you can selflessly perform random acts of kindness on a daily basis, you will be nurturing yourself.

Personal Growth through a Mentor:
Ancient wisdom has taught us that having a spiritual teacher can dramatically affect personal growth in a positive way. Approaching experienced mentors who can help you create a positive mindset and relaxed environment that you need for personal growth is a great measure to take.

What does science say about growth? It can never be negative. We all face issues that can stun the growth, but once we make a move to deal with them, the only way we can grow is up. All we have to do is believe.

What is the most effective use of your time

Self development is a must for everyone who wants any kind of success as practising self development techniques generally forces us to

1. Think about and create personals goals and visions.
2. Take the necessary steps to turn those goals into actionable plans.

Many times we tell ourselves that we are short on time, why can't we take the next step to self motivate and move on to where we would life to be.  Just remember, if it really means something to you, then you will make the time.

What are the benefits of effectively managing your time?

- More time to do what you really want

- Improves your productivity and efficiency

- Reduces the type of risks you take  (eg. don't be late and then speed down the motor way to get to where you need to be for 9am.)

- Better decision making

- You won't get yourself stressed.

What is the most effective use of our time?

Too frequently we hug tasks that can be easily done by someone else.  Learn to delegate, delegating is the key as you can achieve two things, 1.  you get a chance to teach someone to develop a new skill or just learn something new 2. You achieve your goals without doing too much of the mundane tasks that tend to hold us back from getting ahead.

Your own Success

Success is within us all, it is exactly what you want it to be and no one can define it but you. You're the architect of its design, the creator, the one and only person who can give it meaning. What does it mean to you? Is it helping other people, is it making a ton of money, is it marrying a beautiful woman and having kids, then so be it. It's very important that you know it is within your grasp to make the changes needed to achieve what you set out to achieve. We are what we think we are therefore if we constantly believe we are successful and all our actions support this belief, success will come. It starts in your mind and never ends.

What I mean is the daily attitude you have will determine where you go and how far you get in your life. It's simply a matter of can you stay the course no matter how bad the storms get. There will be storms that you will not anticipate and these storms can disrupt your very existence, but stay the course and you will discover a person you never knew was in there. Success means never giving up or giving in to what is easy; it means consistency, hard work, and some serious dedication to your endeavor. During the last recession of 2008 many people couldn't get jobs, almost all my friends were in some way shape or form affected by the Recession. Just about everyone I knew was jobless except a few people that already had half decent jobs and a very good friend of mine. My friend actually found many jobs; he worked all over the place. He had up to 3 part time jobs. In a time where everyone complained of being broke, he complained about not having time to spend his money. There was absolutely nothing that could stop him from making the money he wanted. The man even slept on Metra trains to ensure he made it to wonk on time because he did not own a car.

This is the kind of thinking and attitude necessary for success. What is it that you want? Are you willing to do whatever it takes to get it done? If not then don't even start, you will end up quitting every time. Whatever it is you want has to be more important than all else, it has to be on our mind at all times. Nothing you do should ever take you anywhere but in the direction of your goals. First identify what you're going to accomplish and make up your mind to do it. Next, begin to develop your plan of action, how do plan on attaining your goal? Write these things down and take note that you will more than likely make corrections to your plan in order to make it more effective. These 2 steps are simple and only take a little bit of time to achieve. Next step is to develop habits that promote your success, for example waking up early will give more time to work on goals and get ahead faster. Imagine your preparing to defend your national kickboxing championship. Do you believe the man trying to take it is not up before the birds training to destroy you when that bell rings? Work as hard as possible, work till you are exhausted, work till you fall asleep, and work till you can't work anymore and then wake up the next morning and repeat. Never doubt yourself and ignore everyone that isn't in your corner, they are all dead weight. It's in your control, in your power to be a success, remember no one can define it or achieve it for you.

Appreciating Money Can Prosper You

Do you wonder why it is important to cultivate a good attitude about money? Money is filled with the intelligence of the universe from which it is created. Money reacts to your attitude about it. You attract what you appreciate and money responds accordingly. If you think favorably about money, you multiply and increase it, however if you criticize and condemn it in any way, either your own money or another’s, you dissipate it and repel it from you. If you were to study the lives and experiences of prosperous-minded people, you would find that they have a friendly attitude toward money.
Remember that your thoughts make your world. Your thoughts about money have to be appreciative in order for money to appreciate you and be attracted to you. You should never declare, “I can’t afford this”. You don’t want to talk about being ‘down an out’, or even speak unkindly about those who have money. It is not wise to magnify financial difficulties. If you brag or discuss your financial troubles (and some people actually do so to gain attention or sympathy), then you will always have financial troubles to brag about.
Do not discuss the financial difficulties of others. If you think of yourself as prosperous but of others as living in lack, through the law of attraction you are inviting the same thing to happen to you. The golden rule of prosperous thinking is that you should not think or say anything concerning another’s financial affairs that you would not want to experience in your own.
When you hear of another’s good fortune, wealthy possessions or inheritance, you should feel great joy and appreciation. Don’t think, talk, or act any way but prosperously. Don’t allow others to talk to you in any way but prosperously. Don’t read anything or take seriously anything that is printed or on TV that is contrary to prosperous thinking.
Think of it as money being charged with divine intelligence that tunes in on what you say or think about it, and responds accordingly. Have a prosperous attitude towards money. Use this affirmation daily: “All financial doors are open and free and endless money now comes to me.”
Let the journey begin as you feel gratitude for all that is coming to you, all that comes to others, and all the abundance in the universe. Mentally and emotionally bask in abundance and appreciate it! Welcome money from all directions

Your Destiny is Shaped by Your Confidence

How many times have you heard people say that to succeed in life you need to have confidence in your own ability? Nothing in life is difficult if you know how to believe in yourself in any situation. Most people have this misconception that confidence is something that is either there or not. It is a natural ability that can’t be inculcated but this is not true. Believing in yourself against all odds is an art.

Everything is controlled and perceived by the mind and if you can train your mind to feel confident, it will always remain like it. The most important thing that defines confidence in an individual is his/her self image. Self esteem plays a crucial role in determining the attitude of an individual towards a situation. It is generally observed that people, who consistently belittle themselves, tend to suffer from lack of confidence.

They are always pessimistic in their view point and are defensive in their approach. This is why it is imperative that people suffering from lack of confidence must take the necessary steps to build up their self esteem. An improved outlook towards life will always bring about opportunities that are rewarding and prosperous. People with high levels of confidence are always challenging themselves and are never bothered by any situation in their lives. The best is that they are not worried about what others are thinking of them and are always focussed on the task in hand. This is what high self esteem can bring you:
• You feel confident about yourself and are willing to try and test new things
• High confidence means high courage, you will never back away from situations that are testing or tough.
• You will become more aware about your personality and perceptions and will always be able to make better decisions both personally and professionally.
• You are always in control of your life; your decisions are not influenced by any external factors or influences.

High self esteem and confidence are virtues that can be enhanced in individuals at any age. The most easiest and effective way to build confidence and self esteem is self love. Nothing beats self love. No matter what your current circumstance is, you need to love yourself for who you are. If you have a good image of yourself in your own eyes, you will always be in control of your actions. You will trust your judgement and will always feel good about your life.
To love yourself, you first need to release all the negative notions or beliefs you may have about your personality. You need to start doing things you are uncomfortable with. You need to take more control of your life. The potential in a person is nothing without self esteem or confidence. Your talent needs the support of your confidence to shine on any platform. People are always bound to react in a defensive mode, when the chips are down, but how they emerge from that given situation depends entirely upon the level of their confidence. So be confident and live your life to the full.

Turning On The Positive, Turning Off The Negative

We all have a positive and negative subconscious and its up to us how we choose to use both of them.
They are both very obedient and will do whatever is asked of them.
If you choose to use the negative subconscious and this can be in the things you say or think.
I'm having a bad day
I hate this job
My car is a wreck
I'm not happy with my partner
I don't have enough money
All these are negative statements that your subconscious will go to work on because it is so obedient and will deliver more of these things to you.
If you change these statements slightly to make them positive:
I'm having a good day
I like parts of my job
My car gets me from A to B
I intend to be happy with my partner
I have enough money and I'd like more
You will start to get more of them. It's only a case of making a small change to what you say and what you think, you have to remember that what you say and what you think is what you attract.
Being mindful of what you say and what you think is key, because these are the things you will attract more of and if you want to attract more money you have to talk and think that more money is coming your way because that is what you will attract. If you say and think 'I haven't got enough money that is what you will attract.
If you find yourself thinking 'I hate my job', noticing it is the first stage and that's good that you have noticed that you have thought a negative thought. If you really do hate your job, find something even if its really small to like about your job. The more things you can find to like about your job, the more things for you to like will appear until eventually you can say 'I like my job'.
Sometimes if you are having a really bad day you might want to try lying to yourself and pretending your life is very different, I do this a lot. I go into a daydream and imagine I have everything I want, all the money I could possibly need, luxury goods, fancy car, swimming pool, all the usual things that people dream about. And its great to do that because it moves your subconscious to acting into bringing those things to you, and it makes you feel great and gets you out of the bad day syndrome!
Accessing your positive subconscious is very much like building muscle, the more you use it the bigger it gets and the smaller the negative muscle gets. So learn to use your positive subconscious everyday to get the results you want. Don't forget your subconscious is very obedient and it will deliver whatever you ask, you just have to remember that you are asking, by what you say and what you think.

Create your own money breakthrough

These days everyone is talking about it…there’s not enough of it…we want to have more of it… how do I create more of it?
What’s the hot topic? MONEY.
Would you like to increase your earning potential?
Here are 3 keys to tackle under-earning,weather the economic financial tides and create more personal income:

1. Ramp up your “prosperity” frequency - Careful, your attitude is showing. If you are feeling scared, desperate and fearful about your own money situation, your prospects and clients are going to feel it even if you are saying all the right words. Our inner beliefs and fears( often unconscious)about money drive the results that we get.
Solution? Be brutally honest with yourself. Shine a light on your self sabotage when it comes to money. Do you overspend and buy things you don’t need to feel better emotionally? Do you put your head in the sand, claiming’ I’m just not much of a “numbers person”. Many of us have crippling money beliefs that are undermine our efforts ( especially true for the uber-creatives, such as actors, writers, artists) ever heard: I am a starving artist” or Writers don’t make “real” money.”?
To get to the root of your own limiting beliefs, self sabotage, and money fears, I highly recommend Barbara Stanny’s book, “Overcoming Under-earning”.
Bottom line, do what you need to let go of the shackles of earning less than you deserve.

2. Take Consistent Action - Visualization is an important key to success AND so is taking action. This is not a time for wishful thinking. The playing field has indeed changed and the aftermath of all the financial shifts have caused some folks to get derailed. Now more than ever as biz owners, we need to have an effective plan of action and the willingness to do what needs to be done.
Solution? Take inspired action. Be bolder. Be persistent and consistent. Take action everyday. If you are networking in person, be intentional, wear a smile, and bring order forms. If you have an appointment with a prospective client, show up on time, give great value and be sure to follow up!
This is not the time for doing the bare minimum.

3. Upgrade your deliverables - Are your programs and products the same as last year? Is your marketing plan pretty much the same as last month, and the month before? It’s a buyers market and consumers are carefully evaluating and looking for great value.
Solution? This is the perfect time to give your products and programs a make-over face lift.
Give your very best. Create raving fans and smile all the way to the bank.
That’s it, follow these 3 guidelines and create your own money breakthroughs.
“If we did all the things we are capable of doing, we would literally astonish ourselves.” Thomas Edison
