How to make affirmations work for you

During my reading today, I found this great article that explains the truth about affirmation and how to make them work for you.

Hope you enjoy it.

Affirmations: The secret to making them work for you!

Positive affirmations are all over the internet (specifically social media sites like Pinterest and Facebook)
But they’re not just some fancy saying.
People believe that if affirmations are used properly, they can change your life.
How?
Well, according to theory, if you say them over and over again your mind will start believing them;
And belief is one of the most powerful predictors of success.
But do affirmations really work?
Well the answer is a little more complicated than a simple yes or no.
Tony Robbins, Life Coach and Self-help guru extraordinaire doesn’t think so.
He personally attests to incantations which are essentially affirmations combined with movement, intended to get an emotional charge out of you.
In fact Tony has personally been using Incantations for over 30 years and is a big part of his personal success; which at a net worth of $480 million dollars (as of April 2015) is no small feat.
But there is another way

A secret way of using affirmations that is supported by academic research. It’s called the REINFORCEMENT
AFFIRMATION TECHNIQUE (or R.A.T. for short)
The academic community calls them self-affirmations and according to research, it’s all about HOW you use them that make all the difference.
So in the academic World many studies have been done on self-affirmation and its impact but instead of trying to figure all of that out for yourself, here are the important points and how it can help you change your life.
In order to achieve lasting change through Affirmations, three items are absolutely necessary:
Accepting what you’re affirming. If you affirm the following:
"I am amazing at spotting and acting on all opportunities that come my way"
Are you going to believe it?
If the answer is no then put a big X on accepting what you’re affirming. Suddenly your affirmation becomes nothing more than meaningless words you tell yourself. You might as well say:
"I'm a green banana that leaps tall buildings in a single bound"
Motivation for Change –
Okay so you believe what you’re saying, but are you going to do anything about it?
It would definitely be a big fat no if you’re not accepting what you’re affirming, but you’re much more likely if you do.
Subsequent Behaviour –
So you believe you are amazing at spotting and acting on all opportunities that come your way (or that you’re a green banana!) and you’re motivated to use that in achieving financial freedom for example;
Will you follow up with the appropriate behaviour?
Well the good news is that if you affirm correctly you’re far more likely to accept, be motivated and act on it then if you don’t.
So what does this all mean?
How exactly do you do proper self-affirmations?
Well, two things are needed.
You NEED to believe it and you need to build support around it to move from belief to motivation to action.

Belief
In order to believe an affirmation, you have to believe it to be true in at least one aspect of your life.
It doesn’t even have to be in the area of your life you want to improve (at first).
So let’s say;
You want to lose weight but cannot find the motivation to exercise. Saying “I’m motivated” over and over in the context of losing weight won’t be very effective.
But what if you stop for a moment and think about another aspect of your life where you are or have been motivated.
For example, you are very successful in your career and you’re motivated to do the best you can in your job.
Well doesn’t that mean you are motivated in at least one aspect of your life?
And if you can be motivated in one aspect, isn’t it entirely possible to be motivated in other? Absolutely!
Now the affirmation doesn’t seem so unbelievable, does it! Of course not.
Is that enough to actually motivate you into action? Maybe. It depends on the person. If you’re like most people, it won’t be enough. Fortunately there is another step.

Support
What the academics have discovered is that in a lot of cases it’s not enough to simply say it.
What they have found is that you’re much more likely to alter your behaviour with the proper support around that affirmation.
And that means taking that affirmation (I’m motivated as evidenced in the pursuit of my career) and write down the details behind that.
Specifically examples of times when you were/are motivated.
What that does is it opens your mind to the possibility that this affirmation can apply in other areas of your life and now you have real-life examples to support it.
And that’s it! Instead of taking the 10 minutes you would use to say something you don’t believe over and over again, take the time to try the Reinforcement Affirmation Technique (R.A.T.) and see if it works for you.
It has a much better chance of positively affecting you.
Now there are some additional tips I’d like to offer:
If you can’t find any aspect of your current life where the affirmations seems to ring true, then search your past and try and find examples that provide support.
If you’re having trouble figuring out an affirmation to explore further, read them out loud and see which ones touch a nerve. If one of them does, it’s your subconscious nudging you to look into it further, because there is some truth behind it.
Finally, if nothing is working, enlist the help of someone who you can trust and have them shed some light on which affirmation(s) are true in some aspect of your life.
I hope you found this useful and I would love to hear your feedback.

6. Steps to self motivate and keep momentum

I must admit starting your personal development journey is not an easy plight, but just tell yourself you are climbing a hill and once you get over the slope things will get better.  The real enjoyment is your goal which is at the top of the hill.  Focus on what is at the top of your hill.

You have to really want to change and you’ll find that it can become easier to find the strength to keep pushing.

First and foremost you must know what is at the top of the hill that you must have then write it down and commit to it.  You will find setting a target date makes it very exciting and encourages you to do something everyday.  I personally recommend this..... If you want it badly enough you must make it time bound!

How do you self motivate while you are climbing the hill?  Here are my top 6 strategies.

1.  Always stay positive.  Having a positive mind sets you up to have a positive attitude to face your challenges and weather the storm.

2. Never stop learning.  Try to read at least one hour a day, if you can’t do one hour then at least start off with trying with 1/2hr a day. As you get going you will find how easy it is to read for an hour a day.  If you drive to work you could listen to self development audios.  If you take the train like myself, make use of the opportunity aboard to read something while travelling.
You will gain confidence and learn to trust in your ability and makes it easier for you to find opportunities that helps you to achieve your goal.

3. KISS - Keep It Sweet and Simple,  use tiny little reminders of what your goals are, maybe  little stickers at your work desk or your bedside table. Just something to remind you daily of your dreams and goals that you are working towards.  I use the little reminder function on my iPhone. So everyday at different times of day my little goals pop up on my phone screen.

4. Monitor your progress
You should set a side sometime for yourself to simple just see how you are doing.  There is no point doing something and not having any idea if you are making an head way or not.  This gives you a chance to assess where you are and evaluate whether any changes should be made to your current actions.  You may choose do this one a week or once per month but in my opinion this is something that is required.

5. Try to help others, in helping others you end up learning more than the person your help. In other words the more you teach, the more you learn.

6. Do something different sometimes.  In climbing your hill sometimes the zeal  you had at the start of the journey begins to wear off.  Take some time out,  go with friends, take a day off, or a week off.  This down time can give you the energy you need to continue climbing the hill.  Take a look at some marathon runners, you will find mid distance they stop to get water to refresh, splash a dash of water on their face, cool down then keep going.

Oh well, maybe its actually 7!

7.  Just don’t lose sight of the top of hill. Take your goal(s) seriously, whatever that is!

How Far Can Your Dreams Take You?

........... as far as the power of your imagination and motivation

Denis Waitley

Imagination and motivation are powerful things, and with them on your side, you have all the reason in the world to achieve your grandest dreams. Need proof? Take the story of how the first bridge over the Niagara River near Niagara Falls was built in 1847….
You see, to build a bridge over the giant gorge, the builders first had to get a line over the canyon, from one side to the other—from the United States to Canada with roaring rapids underneath. Except the engineers couldn’t cross the river in a boat because it would go over the falls, the airplane hadn’t been invented yet, and the distance was way beyond bow-and-arrow range.
The designing engineer, Charles Ellet, pondered the dilemma until he came up with a revolutionary idea: to sponsor a kite flying contest. A $5 prize (a small lottery back then!) would go to the person who could fly a kite across the gorge and let it go low enough to the ground for someone on the other side to grab the string. It was successful—a young American boy won the contest on his second attempt.
The kite string, fastened to a tree, was used to pull a cord across, then a line, then a rope. Next came an iron-wire cable and then steel cables, until a structure strong enough to build a suspension bridge was in place. The bridge opened on August 1, 1848. And it all began with an idea and one thin kite string.
That string is like a single thought. The more vivid and clear the thought, and the more you come back to it, the stronger it becomes—like the string to the rope to the cable. Each time you rethink it, dwell on it or layer it with other thoughts, you are strengthening the structure on which to build your idea, like building a bridge over Niagara Falls.
But unlike a kite, there is no string attached to how high and how far your goals may take you. They are limited only by the power of your imagination and the strength of your desire.

How Can You Reach Your Goals?

Many individuals decide to just look at others and feel sorry for themselves because they have not been able to accomplish anything that really mattered. Even though this is a very dangerous perspective on life, it can also help you realise that you need to set some goals. Of course, you might need some encouragement, but you should be able to rely on yourself and on the people that you care most about.

One of the biggest mistakes that you could make would be to blame others for your failures. You are the one that can do something about what happens to you. If you really want to reach a certain goal, you need a strategy. First of all, you have to make sure that you set a realistic goal and that you do not set yourself up for disappointment. Another mistake that you could make would be to expect too much from yourself. You need to know what your limits are. This does not mean that you need to be limited, but that you should try to extend them day by day.

Everyone needs encouragement. The good news is that you can be the one that does this for yourself. You should not rely on others when it comes to your self esteem and on what you can or can not do. Now, when it comes to reaching your goals, you should start by setting one that will challenge you a little bit. For instance, if you have decided that you want to eat healthier, you could start by replacing your mid-afternoon snack with a healthy one every other day.

At first, you might be tempted to give up. However, due to the fact that it is not that difficult, you will soon be able to eat healthy snacks every single day. Another tip that you should keep in mind is that every single person has their own pace. You should not rush into anything. Give yourself time to adapt to the changes that you are making. So, if you have just started replacing that snack with a healthy one, you should continue with the same routine for one or two weeks before you go any further.

The key to reaching your goals is to combine all of the above and to make sure that you do not give up. Even though you might feel bored or do not feel like doing all the hard work anymore, you should think about your motivation and opt for some encouragement techniques. What were the reasons that stood behind your decision of eating healthier? Maybe it was the fact that you would feel better, that you would become healthier and even thinner. Every time you reach a certain goal, it would be a good idea to set another so that you continue challenging yourself.

When it comes to reaching your goals, you will need to opt for some encouragement. That is why it would be a good idea to visit our website. Here you can find all the right pieces of advice that will help you become a better you and find your inspiration!

Arnold Schwarzenegger: A Motivator for lifetime

Motivation is a source to guide ourselves on the right path but there are several factors that keep us motivated and help us in growing ourselves. Arnold Schwarzenegger is one great example of motivation as he made some crucial decisions in his life with a positive attitude. Besides a successful actor he was also a politician and a body builder. He became a successful businessman at the age of 22 years and his motivation led him to involve in different ventures. Arnold shared his six inspiring rules of motivation in life especially for job oriented people which can be applied to any professional framework.

  • Trust Yourself:
To be successful you need to have motivation in life and you have to trust yourself what you are doing. Always look for things that makes you happy no matter what people say about you. Motivation towards your work will definitely make your value worthwhile and helps you to have confidence in what makes you happy.

  • Break the Rules:
By breaking the rules it doesn't mean to have a careless attitude instead in doing things that are right according to you. In business, motivation is something very important and to look for the pros and cons of every single element should be checked by having a constructive approach towards your work. As a business person you have to make decisions on daily basis and that too the sensible ones.

  • Don't be Afraid to fail:
Failure is the key to success, and we learn from our mistakes hence, it is proved that success starts after failure. Don't think that failure will stop you from doing what you want instead keep telling yourself that you're are goal-oriented and nothing can weaken you to achieve your goals. Success will come and your hard work will pay off in this lifetime and eventually the motivation to keep yourself doing work will fulfill your goals.

  • Work your butt off:
Muhammad Ali was one of the greatest hero of his times and his approach towards life is to work hard as he said, "I don't count my sit-ups. I only start counting when it starts hurting. When I feel pain, that's when I start counting, because that's when it really counts". You come across people who are more smart and intelligent but only you can embrace yourself and push yourself in winning. The only way to win a race is by self-motivation.

    Don't listen to Naysayers:
People are here to criticize you and nib in the bud but you have to be stagnant and confident on your own stand. If someone says you cannot do it show them that you have potential and you can win any race.  Arnold was confident about what he does and this motivation kept him successful.

  • Give Back:
Always work for humanity and human rights. The best thing to do in the world is to give back what you have achieved in your life and let people benefit out of it. According to Arnold after achieving everything in life you have to think a step ahead and think about your community rather than yourself. Always live with a spirit of giving instead of just taking and this motivation makes you a better person in life.

Ten tips to help you achieve goals successfully

Ten tips to help you achieve goals successfully

Here are the top ten tips to focus on when setting goals:
  1. First and foremost, you need to be really specific about your goal. You need to be really clear on exactly what it is that you want. If you are finding this difficult, look at what you don't want and find it's opposite. For example, I don't want a boring job could become I want a fun job. Then really get down to the nitty gritty of what it is exactly that you want. Make it short, concise and compelling!
  2. When you've established what you want, spend time visualising it. Imagine what it will feel like having achieved it. What will you be doing? What will people be saying? What will it feel like. You can write it all down if you like or you could keep imagining it before you go to sleep at night (to help your subconcious mind seek opportunities for you)
  3. You must write it down as a commitment to achieving it. Read and review this goal every day. Work out what steps you are going to take each day to take you a step closer towards achieving it and do those steps! At the end of the day, review how it went. What went well. What could you tweak to help you in the future?
  4. Set smaller goals along the way to help you achieve them and reward yourself for each small success.
  5. Give yourself deadlines to give you something to aim for otherwise you're leaving it open to achieve in 10 years. So when ideally would you like to achieve it by? When would you like to achieve your smaller goals by?
  6. Goals need to be for 'you' to keep you motivated -  not because somebody else wants you to achieve it/them. Look at why you want it? What's so important to you about achieving this goal? How does it fit in with the rest of your life? Also don't set goals for others, people need to set their own goals which are within their own control.
  7. Have a suitable way of measuring your success of your goals. So rather than saying I want to lose weight. Say exactly how much you want to lose and by when and make your goals realistic.
  8. Make your goals positive - so rather than saying "I want to stop smoking", reframe it to something like "By 31st December, I am a non-smoker". Notice I also slipped in some 'present' tense (I AM), this opens up your subconscious mind to believing it's possible and coupled with imagining it too, you can work on your mind to making it a believable achievement.
  9. Work out how you are going to keep motivated. What's helped motivate you in the past? What motivates others and keeps them going?
  10. Last but not least, enjoy the journey! Enjoy your achievements along the way and see any slip-ups as learning points. If you don't enjoy it, it'll be a chore and where's the fun in that?

I hope this helps you achieve your goals, please feel free to get in touch if I can help you further.

Success Through Self Discipline

We have very often heard the term self discipline being used in normal conversations while discussing various behavioral subjects. This term in fact sounds more punishable in nature than the real sense of the word.
Ensuring one's own Self Discipline is an art. It is basically an assertion of your will power to do or behave in a particular manner. This requires a mindset where you call upon yourself to indulge or behave in a manner that helps you achieve a desired result, such as happiness or success in any venture. It will also at times require you to oppose your own desires that go against meeting your end result.
Self disciplined individuals make their choices and decisions carefully with reasonable logical thinking, instead of being dictated by their feelings or impulsive thinking. This gives them a sense of assurance and comfort instead of getting upset with themselves.
Here are some few tips on how to develop self discipline:

1. Understand what motivates you - We come across occasions or reasons that make us suddenly act or behave in a manner that gives you desirable and pleasant results. Identify such reasons.
2. Cultivate Positive Habits - A certain behavioral pattern or action generates unknown energies that pushes you to act. Make that behavior or action a habit.
3. Kill Negativity - When faced with laziness, failure or bad example from others, you tend to bow down towards negativity. Kill it, the moment it attacks you.
4. Keep Busy - Engage yourself in some kind of sports or activities that keep your mind active and busy. It will keep you mentally and physically alert.
5. Derive Inspirations - Look up to people whom you idolize and get inspired from their success. Understand them, but don't try to copy them.
6. The Rewards - Visualise the end rewards and bask in that glory.

Self Discipline concerns you. It is part of your personality and should be initiated and developed by you alone. Excuses, failures, procrastination is like a workshop in an idle mind, while self discipline will control your action and impulses thus guiding you to positivity. It will help you to take decisive actions and execute your plans easily. In addition to organising your work, it will help you achieve your targets and goals in your assigned target time.
In order to therefore lead a result oriented life of peace and comfort, encourage self discipline in your life. Refer to various resourceful sources on the subject matter and create the perfect reality you desire.

How to Create a Habit That Actually Sticks

Let's be honest here... Change is hard, period.
Learning how to create a habit is simple, but not easy.
When you ask the question " How to create a habit that actually sticks", you feel as if you might already know the answer.
None of us want to change.
Wait, maybe we do.
None of us want to be uncomfortable though.
In order to change and create a habit, you must do things that make you uncomfortable.
You must do these things over and over until they are no longer uncomfortable, they begin to feel EASY.
They become a habit.
A habit is a behavior that you repeat over and over until it becomes automatic.
"Motivation is what gets you started, Habit is what keeps you going." - Jim Ryun
At the beginning you have to force yourself to do the new habit every day, without skipping a day, until it takes over your mind and it just happens automatically.
Here's the problem, your brain hates change, even if the change is good.
We come pre-wired to remain the same, it's a survival instinct.
This is what initially makes it hard to create a habit.
Even though when you want to create a habit that can change your life for the better, your brain does not want you to.
Any habit that you have in your life is a result of behavior that you repeated over and over. The type of food you eat, the music you listen to, the type of people you hang out with.
It's all habit!
When something becomes a habit, it feels comfortable and easy. You like easy and comfortable, don't you?
"We become what we repeatedly do" - Stephen Covey
How Habits Become Easy
The good news is that you can turn any desired behavior into a habit and it's actually pretty simple!
But Alex if it's so easy to create a habit, then why doesn't everyone do it and change their life?
The answer is Inertia.
"Inertia - a tendency to do nothing or to remain unchanged."
The force and effort required by you to create a new habit and repeat the new behavior over and over until it becomes automatic (a habit) requires willpower!
Our brain does everything in its power to resist us from changing.
Once a new behavior becomes a habit, we no longer feel resistance to do it. We actually begin to enjoy it!
When you start a new exercise routine, an eating lifestyle, or something as simple as reading 15-20 minutes before bed, your brain begins to say:
"Hey what's going on here? Why are we doing this? There's no reason to! Everything is fine and I'm comfortable! Change is stupid! STOP!"
How many people have you seen that sign up for a gym membership in the New Year, go for maybe 1-2 weeks, if that, and then stop?
Why do they stop?
Because they don't go often enough for it to become a habit! That's why!
Eventually their brain starts to say:
"Why are you doing this? Do you enjoy being sore and in pain? You're wasting so much time and gas driving back and forth to the gym? Maybe right now isn't the best time to start working out!"
Of course, you don't actually hear these things going on in your mind when you try to create a habit, but believe me when I tell you that your brain is amazing at coming up with excuses on why you should stop something, even when it will change your life for the better.
Now if all these people would just FORCE themselves to go, eventually after about 30 consecutive days, they will actually begin to look forward to going to the gym!
They will develop the gym habit!
That's the trick to create a habit, that's all you need to understand. You must force yourself to go until eventually you will WANT to go.
Create a Habit Without Failing
So here's how to make sure that you do not stop doing a new behavior until you turn it into a habit.
NOTE: You MUST follow exact instructions below in order to develop a habit. If you don't, you will most likely find an excuse to skip the habit one day.
Find an accountability partner, someone who you can trust but that will also be tough on you! Create a habit
Go to this person and repeat the following statement:
"For the next 30 days, I am going to do _____________ every single day. Your job is to make sure that I do it. The first day that I don't do it, you get to keep ___________."
In the first line, you will write the new behavior that you want to turn into a habit.
In the second line you will provide your accountability partner with something that they get to keep if the first day that you decide to skip the new behavior.
Money is usually a good choice, and make sure it's an amount that you will really regret losing.
The trick is to pick something that you will to give away that will be a lot more painful to lose than it will be to skip the new habit on any given day.
I promise you that if you follow that plan, you will do the behavior every day and it will become a habit after 30 days.
Example: "I don't feel like going to the gym today, but if I don't go I'm going to have to pay my friend $500! OK, I guess I'll go to the gym."
Do you see how powerful this is?... DO IT!
That's it my friend!
No need to spend a lot of money on some program or coach who will promise to change your life.
No need to have to sit down and read a whole book on how habits are formed (even though the information is interesting).
Just follow my steps and I guarantee that you will create a habit in any area of your life that you desire.
Imagine if you did this for a year decided to create a habit every month.
That's 12 new habits in a year!
How different will your life be?
How much happier and productive could you become?
What can you have that you always wanted?
You now know a fail-proof way on how to create a habit that actually sticks, take action!
IMPORTANT: Don't deviate! Write down what new habit you are going to start today, write down what your punishment will be if you skip it, and begin to change your life.
RIGHT NOW!

Top Habits of Motivated People

Many unsuccessful people are not necessarily unsuccessful, they simply have not found their strengths within their natural abilities yet. People become highly motivated when they find their purpose in life. Everyone has a burning drive inside of them. For some, they need to learn from others to find it. For others, the drive comes naturally and pushes them to do great things.
Following is a list of what naturally, highly motivated people do differently and what they can teach us.
1. They don't dwell on adversity.
Highly motivated people don't dwell on problems. If they mess up on a speech in public, fail a test, or do something embarrassing, they don't try to push it away. They don't let their mistakes stop them from achieving their goals. They learn from their experiences, good or bad, and move on towards the goal.

2. They read, A LOT.
Highly motivated people are always learning. Reading allows one to take in the knowledge of some of the smartest people who have ever lived. Highly motivated people don't spend much time watching reality TV - they do, however, spend their time reading.

3. They focus on goals and dreams.
Highly motivated people are always working for something. They know what they want, and they search for ways to achieve it.

4. They are grateful.
Being grateful keeps us humble. There is no room for the ego in an inspirational, motivational life. Try to write down 5 things you are grateful for every day.

5. They are not restricted by limits.
Highly motivated people are driven to go above and beyond; they are trusted by others, focused, and have great confidence in their own abilities.

6. They look at the upside.
Instead of focusing on what's NOT working and bad experiences-which so many of us tend to do-they instead focus on what IS working and their successes.

7. They are authentic.
They are true to themselves, despite what others think. They don't live their lives solely to please others.

8. They don't give up.
When they stumble over that proverbial bump in the road, they analyze the problem, come up with a plan, take action, and overcome it.

9. They don't blame others.
They never blame others for their failures. They understand that ultimately they alone are in charge of their actions and choices and no other.

10. They surround themselves with motivators.
Their friends are those who are trustworthy, positive, supportive, and are people who bring out the best in them, unconditionally.

11. They surround themselves with motivational and inspirational stimuli.
Books, video, music, art, nature, in short, anything that brings and sustains positive energy.
In closing, we leave you with one final motivational and inspirational quote:
"You can do anything you wish to do, have anything you wish to have, be anything you wish to be."

STAY MOTIVATED!

How To Achieve Short-Term And Long-Term Goals

Decide what your goals are
Before you go about achieving your goals, you need to actually think about what exactly they are. Make sure your they're things that you can realistically achieve: there's no point setting yourself a goal you can't achieve. For example, don't tell yourself you're going to run a marathon next month if you've never done any long-distance running before; these things take months and months of practice. When deciding what your goals are, you have to be practical and have to have some common sense about what you can do and how long it will take to do it. It also helps to make your goals very specific: saying you're going to do more exercise, for example, isn't specific. Saying you're going to do an hour a day is.
Categorise them
Once you've got a list of goals you want to achieve, separate them into short-term goals and long-term goals. Again it's important to be realistic here: do some research and see what you have to do to achieve your goals. It's also important for you to have an idea of how long it will take you to reach your goals. If something's going to take several years to do, for example getting a degree, it's going to be long-term because you're investing a lot of time in achieving that. Something like tidying your home is short-term because it's something you can get done in the near future.
Achieving short-term goals
Whenever you have things to do, being organised and having a plan is always the best way to be productive. The best way to start achieving your short-term goals is to prioritise them. When it comes to your short-term goals, decide which ones you want to get done first and go about getting them done. It helps to have a list so you can check things off as you get them done. It's important not to put things off: even if you set yourself just one short-term goal, it's important to get it done sooner rather than later.
Achieving long-term goals
When it comes to achieving long-term goals, you have to be patient and prepared to invest a lot of time into achieving them. The important thing to do is to be motivated enough to stick with it until the end. Before you start going about achieving long-term goals, do plenty of research and be sure that this is the right thing for you. It's very often the case that there are lots of steps involved when it comes to achieving long-term goals: you have to plan each step of the way there so you know what challenges you could find yourself facing. It's important to be committed and not to lose focus along the way. Before starting to achieve your long-term goals, think about what it will be like once you've achieved them. Picture where you'll be once you've achieved your goals and use this image to keep you motivated along the way.
Be flexible
Life is never simple. The problem with setting plans is that there's nearly always something beyond your control that comes along and disrupts them. Life changes and you can never fully predict how much your life will change in the next few years. The best thing to do is to stick to your plans as they are, but at the same time you have to be prepared to be flexible in case something does happen.

Mind Power Success Skills For Prosperity

Here is the most important and powerful "secret" for achieving prosperity that you will ever learn: YOU ARE THE CREATOR OF YOUR OWN ECONOMY.
There are countless success skills that you can develop, like time management, organizational ability, anger and stress management, communication skills, and the various specific proficiencies connected with your particular line of work.
And all of those are important. But by far the most important form of personal developmentto pursue, not just for money and career success, but for health, love and happiness, has to do with fully harnessing the creative potential of mind power.

To harness this great power for abundance, accept personal accountability and think of yourself as the creator of your own economy.
In every economic climate, there are those who prosper – and prosper GREATLY, and there is absolutely no reason why YOU cannot be one of them.
You begin creating anything in life, including your own economy, with your mind-set.
If you trust that your opportunities are present, and them look for them, you will find them.  As it says in the Bible, “Seek and you will find.” In other words, you are bound to find WHAT you seek.
To direct your attention toward discovering your opportunities to achieve prosperity is to harness your infinite resource of mind power for more money and success.
If you want to blame “big business”, “big government”, “the banking system” or any other group or individual in your life for your economic uncertainty, you are entirely free to do that. But that strategy will lead to a continuation of your economic plight.

But remember this important principle of mind power: as long as you reject responsibility for your current level of achievement, you also reject your power to achieve all of the abundance and success you desire.
Here are three success skills to practice to create the economy that you want:
1. Trust that you can succeed and prosper.
2. Keep your attention focused on finding your opportunities to move toward achieving your financial goals.
3. Keep your attention OFF of any thoughts, ideas, opinions, or beliefs that cause you to feel discouraged, disheartened, or a lost of motivation.

We can call these personal accountability practices for financial success.
As you practice these on a daily basis, religiously, you will not only be advancing yourself along the path of prosperity. You will be contributing to the motivation, peak performanceand positive results of everyone!
This is because your positive attitude will radiate, and everyone you encounter will receive some it, by what we can describe as "psychological osmosis".
There is no more important field to apply this than in professional sales. Whatever your line of work, there is a selling dimension to it. If you do not sell your product or service, you make no money and your career takes a nosedive.
As you radiate confidence in your own economic promise, your prospects will feel confident in you, in themselves, in the economic possibilities, and be more inclined to take a risk on what you are selling.
When it comes to the power of a positive mind-set as it relates to achieving financial abundance, remember this: Financial insecurity is NOT a financial problem. Financial insecurity is an EMOTIONAL problem, rooted in negative thinking, that MANIFESTS a financial problem.
Incorporate the success skills connected with harnessing mind power for your prosperityas part of your own, self-determined sales training.
